HEATWAVE ADVICE: NSW Ambulance has issued an ADVICE warning for a severe heatwave affecting the following areas:

Central West Slopes & Plains
Hunter
Metropolitan
Mid North Coast
North West Slopes & Plains
Northern Tablelands
South West Slopes
Upper Western Districts

Maximum temperatures generally in the high 30s to low 40s. Severe heatwave conditions are developing across central and northern New South Wales and will persist in the next couple days, before easing from the middle of the week.

Locations likely to be impacted include Sydney metropolitan, Bourke, Camden, Cobar, Dubbo, Hornsby, Liverpool, Penrith, Richmond, Taree and Tamworth.

Tips to stay safe:

Stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.
Check on vulnerable family members, neighbours, and friends.
Keep your home cool and ensure you have a plan if conditions worsen.

Call Triple Zero (000) if you or someone else is showing signs of heatstroke or heat-related illnesses.
