We breed ASH for our own use on our Angus cattle stud, competing at campdrafts and ASH shows. The name 'Arangely' (pronounced Aran gely) is derived from Yarrawa and Glenoch Australian Stock Horse studs. Tamara (nee Law) grew up near Glen Innes NSW, with her family, Barry and Annette Law, Perry and Codie. Their Australian Stock Horse stud with the prefix Yarrawa, is now owned by Codie and his wife

Natalie and is called Yarrawa Park Stock Horses. Barry and Annette Law had one of the early Australian Stock Horse studs. Rivoli Ray IS (Impact sire) was the ASH #205 Dickie Bar Joe IMP (imported from USA), Nabinabah Cool Gun IS (impact sire), Beauview Lance HSH (Heritage Stock Horse) and Kneipps Conray HSH (Heritage Stock Horse) have enjoyed extraordinary sucess over the past 70 years. Barry Law played and excelled at polocrosse at the highest level at the Australian Championships and Sydney Royal Shows with Gene and Dream. While Barry and Annette showed and had at stud, Rivoli Ray and Dickie Bar Joe, their son Codie then performed and excelled with Cool Gun, Conray and Lance. Tamara trained and competed in pony club, shows and polocrosse all on horses that were home bred. Mares such as Marama, Baby Doll were both by Dickie Bar Joe. Marama won Supreme Led Sydney, Champion Mare Brisbane and winner of 55 Champions. Marama ridden by Tamara, at the age of 13, in 1979, won the Champion Led and ridden at Dubbo ASH Championships. Tamara Law rode Marama to win many Champion Rider and Champion Hack awards. Tamara won the coveted Grand Champion Rider at Glen Innes Pony Club 3 times in 1981, 1982 and 1983 on Baby Doll, Marama and Nabinabah Mistral. She played polocrosse on Mistral and won player and pony awards. She was selected to play in the Nsw Junior team at Berrima. Barry, being so interested in horses, had a keen eye for horses with presence and ability. He and his friend Jim Sloman, formally of Dunvegan, Dundee, bought a horse in 1952 called Jester, who was a well bred racehorse from Sydney. Jester was the Reserve Champion Thoroughbred at Sydney Royal show. Jester bred some very sucessful horses, who performed well in campdraft and polocrosse. One broodmare, Yarrawa Sandra, is the dam of 3 of the studs mares and her pedigree goes back to a mare called "Val Power" who Don Macansh played polocrosse on at the highest level in Sydney with the Rangers Valley team. Her daughter "Valhalla" is by Jester. Jester is registered with the ASH society as Brockley Jester 111 - TB #7760. David Newberry from Glen Innes won the Gold Cup in 1977 on Newberry Playgirl who was by Jester. John Newberry's Madam Max was also by Jester. Terry Sloman's Little Indian was by a Jester colt from Barry Law's Jean. He won the Warwick Gold Cup in 1974, 3 Novices and 25 Open drafts. "He had the ability to hold his stride. He couldrun hard to his cattle and then hold and back behind without ever tightening the rein". Roger established the prefix Burradoo in 1977 with some horses that were bred and owned by his Uncle Jack Atkin (Deceased), namely Double Skee and Burradoo Jackie Buzz. Roger's two mares, Burradoo Topette and Burradoo Accent have descended from these lines and include Heritage Stock Horses in their pedigrees. Topette is a good looking and well conformed mare that Roger enjoyed competing on. Topette finalled at Paradise Lagoon Open with two 89's. Roger then changed the prefix to Glenoch in 2013. In 2017, Roger and Tam merged the two studs to establish the new prefix of "Arangely" (pronounced Aran gely) which is derived from Yarrawa and Glenoch. A new beginning.....
When a colt foal was born to Burradoo Toppette in 2011, the year Tam arrived at Glenoch, he was named Connect. The name was chosen because he connected all the bloodlines that Roger was seeking and being by Conman, the name suited him. As a two year old, when he was broken in by Roger's son Nick, under the watchful eye of the late Ron Wall, he showed ability. Over the next couple of years, Connect continued to show the traits that Roger was seeking to breed. He was quick and lively, with cattle sense and also had a good length of rein and outlook. We bred some mares to him and the progeny are very promising. Tam is competing on Abigail who is a 5 year old, along with Paricon who is ready to start. He was gelded, though in hindsight we question that decision as we think alot of the progeny. Bill Carey then put him under a cutting training programme and competed with him over a couple of campdraft seasons. Bill competed on him and presented him at the 2019 Dalby Australian Stock Horse sale. Connect won the first round of the Novice draft then came second overall. He sold for $26,000 to Harry Larnoch from Bathurst, who enjoys drafting him.
