It’s with the heaviest heart we say a sad goodbye to our sweet Lou Lou last night. We had fun and play time before she went to bed but not to wake up. Lou Lou was definitely one in a million girl. We will miss you baby girl.

Well took our big boy for a quick spa at pet stock and he couldn’t wait to get in barley opened the door and he was in. Even enjoyed the blow dry at the end.

Bamwoody Aussie bulldogs have 2 remaining girls who will be registered through UABA very solid for 5weeks old. Will be microchipped and fully ready to go to a loving home in a few weeks. Located northern NSW can have transport organised.

🚨 Tick, tick, BOOM! 🚨 !

Pet owners need to be vigilant after an unprecedented number of paralysis tick cases.
Prevention is key, animals in tick prone areas should be on an effective tick-prevention program year-round to reduce the risk of picking up a life-threatening tick.
Prevention, as always, is better than cure.
There are multiple options for both cats and dogs.
At Woolgoolga Vet Clinic we recommend for dogs:
*Bravecto Quantum injection which last a year
* Bravecto chews (3 monthly)
* Bravecto spot on ( 5 monthly)
*Nexgard or simparica (every 28 days).
For cats:
* Nexgard (28 days) *Bravecto (3 monthly)
* Felpreva (3 monthly).

Signs of tick poisoning include:-
* Lethargy
* Weakness or loss of coordination in the hind legs (wobbliness or not being able to get up)
* Change in the voice or bark
* Retching, coughing or vomiting
* Loss of appetite
*Progressive paralysis to include the forelegs
*Laboured or rapid breathing

If your dog/cats shows any of these signs it is very important to have them seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible, as affected and untreated animals may die.

Checking your dog/cat daily for ticks is very important too.
