This is the busiest time of year, and appointments are back to back.
Please drive to the conditions, and allow extra time to get to your appointment.

This is also a reminder that you will still need to allow time to toilet your dog, before coming into your appointment.
Even if it is raining! 🌧
Bring a brolly if needed ☔
It doesnt matter if your pet arrives wet, as they go straight into the hydrobath 🛁
Your dog WILL toilet in my workspace, if they havnt been given the chance prior.

⚠️ If you have a male dog, DO NOT let them toilet on the verandah. This is disgusting!
Be mindful that there is a food venue right next door. Would you let your dog toilet on your verandah at home, why allow it elsewhere?

💩 Feaces and urine carry parasite and disease, even if you think your dog is well.
Its not just a quick wipe up; its a full on clean and sanitise when I have a pet toilet in the salon, which then cuts into their groom time.

⏰ As mentioned, this is an incredibly busy time and appointments are back to back; I cannot run behind due to toileting clean up.
Each appointment is allocated time for the individual pet, cleanup time will effect the quality of the groom and the scissor finish, that polishes off the style.

✅ Please be cautious out on the roads, your safety is of most importance.
Please just allow enough time to get around safely.

If a cat did actually groom itself; you wouldn't have any issues with matting, hair shed everywhere, dirty oily smelly fur, and feaces stuck in the coat.

🐶 Puppy Grooming 🐶 I can not stress enough just how important it is to start your puppies introduction to grooming as early as possible. Ideally they should have their first puppy groom pre booked for after 3rd vaccination. And continue with atlease 2-4 weekly appointments until your pet is comfortable with the process. It takes quite a few sessions before your puppy will be comfortable with the sounds, sensations and whats expected of them in the grooming process. To perform a full groom on dog that has never had any grooming experience can be frightening and overwhelming. So much more than just completing the groom goes into puppy intro sessions. Im teaching your puppy that the grooming process isnt scary, and doesnt hurt, and that it can be a very enjoyable experience. The first 3-4 sessions are essentially training your dog to accept the grooming process, how to behave and whats expected, and building their confidence so that they are completly comfortable. It is expected that as a proffessional groomer I should be able to perform the task reqested of the owner. However, I work with live animals and very sharp tools. If the pet im working with is not acustomed to the grooming process, this makes for a highly stressful, dangerous and unsafe situation. This training and teaching, takes time and practice. You couldn't possibly send your child to their first day of school and expect them to be able to read and write by the time you pick them up at the end of the day. Its no different for your dog and their grooming apppintments. The best thing you can do for your new pet is to invest in regular grooming while they are young and still in their developmental phase. This will set your pet up for a life of fear free grooming, which they look forward to and enjoy, just as much as we love visiting our beautician and hair stylist.

🐾 Reposted from the kelpies page but too good not to share 🐾 Dear Customer, Congratulations on acquiring your Australian Kelpie Please find the instructions for your particular model listed below: Although your Australian Kelpie comes fully assembled, due to particular issues during production, we do occasionally have issues with components such as screws. They invariably are either loose or missing altogether. Mode 1: This is the sleep mode, activated for the majority of the day as the Australian Kelpie ages. This is normal and you should not worry about it, just accept the peace and quiet while you can. Mode 2: Anarchy. Although we have tried to ease the effect of anarchy mode, it’s not always possible. There are inherent issues with the timer settings of anarchy mode in regards to there being none. Should your Australian Kelpie suddenly go from comatose to running around the walls, we cannot stop this feature. Sunlight: Do not allow your Australian Kelpie to stay in the sun too long. They can burn if left unattended but they also recharge. Too much of a charge and mode 2 can be activated without warning. Energy consumption: This has been an ongoing issue as their energy consumption is too direct. We have tried to put baffles, non return valves and diversions in place but none seem to work adequately. Safe to say what goes in comes out, in both solids and gas. The gas, although noxious, can only inhibit breathing of the owner for up to ten minutes. Naming: Your Australian Kelpie comes untitled as we feel owners should use names of their own.
