Now taking enrollments for Baby Puppy Basics class in Croydon. If you have, or are getting, a puppy between 8-14 wks old and are looking to teach your pup how to be a well behaved member of the family, join the class to learn how. We cover the basics like toilet training, mouthing, learning to calm and settle, and basic obedience. Small class sizes so first, come first served.

Puppy Classes are returning to East Bentleigh Animal Care. Classes are on Saturday Mornings from 9:30. If a puppy has recently joined your family and you are looking to teach your pup how to be a well behaved member of the family, join the class to learn how. We cover the basics like toilet training, mouthing, learning to calm and settle, and basic obedience. Small class sizes so first come, first served. We will be running classes for baby puppies 8wks-14wks and junior puppies 14-26wks

After a lovely refreshing break over September, Puppy class have now resumed. We run baby puppy classes and basic manners classes in both East Bentleigh and Croydon. There are still spots availabe at both venues. Contact Debbie on 0415 868 057 for more information.

Merlin, our chief trainer, enjoyed a week a the Dog's Country Club and Kennel Resort while Mum and Dad were in Fiji. Positive Pooches & People are taking a break over September and Business will resume as usual on 2nd October.

Prepping for tomorrow's puppy class. In positive reward based training, food is often the easiest reward to control. Here I have a few soft foods that are easy for the puppy to gulp down ready for the next one. For those that are raw feeders, I semi dehydrate some diced meat for rewards. It is still soft enough for the pup to eat quickly yet dry enough to put in a treat pouch without being messy. It's also a great way get organs like heart, liver or kidney in their diet. I use a portion of my pup's daily food as his training rewards.
