OTT Bridging program - very limited places
Always wanted your own off the track horse but not sure where to start? This program is designed to bridge the gap between racing and recreation. The aim is to reduce the stress at the start of an ott's new career, so you can start building your partnership with confidence. Focusing on all the areas of potential problems, the goal of the bridging program is to create relaxation and trust in the horse. The program covers ground work and obstacles, float training, stress free outings and basic ridden work to establish the aids. Clinics, lessons and competitions can also be included if required. Services arranged will include dental, farrier and bodywork to ensure your new partner is comfortable and ready to learn. We can work with a horse you have already selected, or we can help source a suitable horse. This program is designed for racehorses who have spelled after racing, but we can provide this prior to the commencement of the retraining. Horse of any breed returning from a lengthy spell would benefit from this program. Based near Tamworth, NSW. Please pm for more information.

Edit Tye has gone to his new home πŸ’œ
Tools Down (2017, Written Tycoon/It's Poets Day) was a successful racehorse with 2 wins, 3 seconds and a third from 14 starts. He retired sound in August 2022, had a spell and joined the team in June 23.

Tools Down is so easy to work with and has been on tons of outings as the quiet companion for my big baby. He attended his first dressage competition earlier in the year and then I focused on others for a few months. He is back in work, has been to working equitation clinics and crossing country schooling. He has been ridden out on trails. He recently placed 3rd overall at his very first three phase working equitation competition (video in comments).

Tools Down is a 15'2 (unofficial), 6 year old gelding with the most amazing temperament. He will willing give anything a go, without any fizz. He responds well to ground work and trust building activities. He is easy to float, worm and shoe. He has a couple of little quirks I am happy to discuss. Very reasonably priced for such a fun, little horse. If you think you might be interested in this genuine all-rounder please send me a message.

C**t - Unite and Conquer (Aus) / Sunday Special (Big Brown) - foaled 3 Oct 2023

This strong, athletic c**t is by promising sire Unite and Conquer. In a short but very impressive career, he won the Listed Maribyrnong Trial Stakes at Flemington by 2.25 lengths on debut and remained undefeated as a pre-Christmas 2YO, defeating Exhilarates in the Listed Wyong 2YO Classic.

Unite and Conquer is half-brother to SP Mission Value (3d ATC Inglis Nursery, RL), grandson of SW Danglissa (AJC Flight S., Gr.1), a three-quarter-sister to SW Danzippo (Newcastle JC Newmarket H., Gr.3) and closely related to SW Sweet Redemption.

Unite and Conquer's oldest progeny are 2YOs. The first 2023 two year-old trial in Australia was won by a Unite and Conquer, Switch to Go, and the fastest breeze up at the October 23 Inglis 2YO sale was a Unite and Conquer, who then sold to Hong Kong for $110,000. Unite and Conquer is the sire of placegetters What a Doozy, City United and Conjoin.

The c**t's dam, Sunday Special, is a well raced country mare by the American stallion, Big Brown. He had 8 starts for 7 wins and US$3,614,500. In 2008 Big Brown won the Florida Derby, Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, Haskell Invitational Handicap and Monmouth Stakes.

Big Brown is proven sire. He led the New York regional sire list in 2015 and 2020. As of May 6, 2023, he has sired 34 stakes winners in the Northern Hemisphere. His progeny performance statistics continue to make him one of the top 15 leading sires in the New York state.

His Australian stakes winners include Brown Ben (1st - 2017 Tokyo City Cup LR, 1st - 2019 Heiniger Balaklava Cup LR), Neverland (1st - 2015 Make Your Own Magic-Challenge LR, 1st - 2015 Carbine Club Of W.A. Stakes LR), Darwin (1st - 2014 Belgrave Stakes LR), Dawnie Perfect (1st - 2015 N.Z. Bloodstock Ethereal Stks Gr3), Nancy (1st - 2016 2016 Godolphin Crown Gr3) and Send It In (1st - 2017 Excelsior Stakes Gr3).

Big Brown is the sire of 116 dams of 325 named foals of racing age in the Northern Hemisphere (204 rnrs (63%), 137 wnrs (42%), 47 2yo wnrs (14%). His leading grandson is Mage, who won the 2023 Kentucky Derby, following in his grandsire's footsteps and currently has accumulated US$2,507,450.

Big Brown has sired 42 dams in Australia. His leading dam here is stakes winner Dawnie Perfect, whose filly by The Autumn Sun sold at the 2024 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale for $250,000. She is also the dam of Great Mystery (Redoute's Choice), who sold at the 2023 MM Gold Coast National Broodmare Sale for $185,000.

This big, spirited c**t is set for success and will follow in both his sire's and grandsire's footsteps.

This week I rode him twice at home and took him to AELEC to have a ride around the arena whilst the big horses jumped. He jumped hi first cross rail in the big atmosphere with no drama at all. Such a willing horse, happy to do whatever is asked! He is looking for a new human to continue his training. He has a few cute quirks that I am happy to discuss.
