It’s been such an amazing day for our first event, and we’re just so thrilled to have had everyone come out and so much excitement for this comp! I can’t wait to see how it grows in future years. We’ll also be sending out some feedback surveys- please let us know what we can do better next time and what we did well today! 😊

Competitiors in the live classes will receive free entry to Dandy Show, model dog entries will need to pay entry ($10) if not entered in the live comps and aren’t dropping off/ picking up prior or after 😊 competitors will be emailed their entry a week prior to the competition along with competitor info

Parking will be available on a first come first serve basis for $10 for the day

Only 1 entry left for advanced Asian fusion/ Freestyle/ Creative, and a couple left for advanced purebred/ handstrip with a few left for beginner classes 😊

If you’ve filled in an entry form and haven’t purchased entry yet, make sure to do that before November 1 😊

We’re still needing a lot of entries for our purebred/ poodle/ handstrip class, for beginner and advanced! Plus entries for beginner Asian fusion and model dog. Your dog doesn’t have to have several inches of coat, a shorter breed trim or freestyle pet trim is 100% fine so long as you’re making a difference to the outline of the dog and it hasn’t had a haircut for at least 6 weeks!

Currently we have 1 model dog head entry and a few across the model dog body categories. Great opportunity for a smaller comp to enter a model dog in! Remember, you don’t have to attend on the day for model dog, we can facilitate an early drop off and later pickup the week before and after the comp 😊 model dog doesn’t include entry to Dandy show, but we can meet you for dropping off models early (entry is included for main classes)
we’ve had some really generous prize donations, so let’s make sure we honour our sponsors by utilising all of those awesome prizes!

We're thrilled to have Sustainable Salons supporting Groomfinity at Dandy Show in 2023. Sustainable Salons will be collecting all clipped and scissored pet hair from the competition- and as far as we're aware, that will make Groomfinity the first grooming competition in Australia to divert hair from landfill! Sustainable salons will be proving entrants with information about their not for profit program, and how easy it is to get involved!

Some of the purposes include:
-Making hair booms to soak up oil spills
-Currently researching hairy tech, and if there's a way to produce computer components from hair
-Making Hairy Soil by composting collected hair into nutrient rich soils for plants
