FINAL UPDATE 29/4: With deep sadness, we regret to inform you all that Hendrix was found deceased today by the local police. Hendrix will be transported to Darwin for cremation.

We cannot thank everyone enough for all their support, especially those on the ground in the local communities it is truly appreciated.

My most sincerest heart felt condolences to his owner Angelina. No greater companion, no greater friend. The bond and love you shared was one of a kind, he loved you as much as you loved him. My thoughts are with you, may his memories live on and may he rest in peace 🤍

MISSING ADULT MALE BOERBOEL

Hendrix was lost today, Saturday 26th April at approx midday whilst travelling between MARLA, SA and KULGERA ROADHOUSE, NT.

The owner noticed the side door to the horse float where Hendrix was located had become open approx 50km before Kulerga Roadhouse.

They are communicating with road users via UHF and stopping people on the road, but no sightings thus far. Currently backtracking along the road searching, leaving scent trails and water. Roadhouses have been contacted.

Hoping that someone has picked him up!

Hendrix is a much loved family member, the owner is absolutely devastated.

Please share and help reunite him with his family!

UPDATE (6pm 26th April): The owner has made it back to Marla with no sightings. Cattle stations in the area have been notified, along with vets in Alice Springs.
They will travel back towards Kulgera in the morning to continue the road search.

UPDATE (1:20pm 27th April): The owner has made it back to Kulgera and unfortunately there have been no sightings of Hendrix. Local police have been notified, and they will keep an eye out for him in the remote communities. The local community and roadhouses of Marla and Kulgera couldn't be more supportive in their efforts to spread awareness, especially to travellers. A search via drone has also been conducted with no trace. The search continues...

We love this dog! He cohabitates well with all the livestock and calmly exists amongst them, but will let them know his presence when necessary. Moves effortlessly, runs alongside the atv or ute, can jump on the back of an atv, ute, or flatbed truck with ease. Always by your side. He loves the kids wholeheartedly and can be a real goofball. Just what a Boerboel should be.

It's is with immense pain in our hearts that we regret to inform the passing of our beloved 'Tikka' 🤍

If love alone was enough to keep her here, she would have lived forever. And forever would not have been enough. Those who know me personally know how very special Tikka was to me, to us.

We would like to thank the wonderful team at Howard Springs Veterinary Clinic, with a special mention to Jess & Jamin for their tireless efforts and specialised care to try and save her life. For the love, kindness, and care shown to her and our family in her final days. There was not a dry eye in the clinic today. Tikka was a favourite everywhere she went and quickly found her way into everyone's hearts.

Her passing is such a significant loss. We are just devastated. Today was one of the hardest days in my life, saying goodbye. Every sunrise & day without her will never be the same. The most loyal, loving, and fiercely protective big goof ball. She was the true essence of what a boerboel should be.

May she rest in peace with all the other greats until we meet again our beautiful darling girl... forever in our hearts and cherished memories.

We are delighted to welcome 8 beautiful & healthy chunky babies!

Unfortunately, mum experienced complications post c-section and remains in hospital. She is receiving the very best of care, and we hope she will make a full recovery.

This is the harsh and tough reality of breeding. You can do everything right and take all the precautions, and sometimes things still happen.

We ask for your patience and love for the moment. Our main priority and focus are mum and her babies!

Thankfully, all the pups are doing amazing! ❤️

A puppy is not just a "puppy", it's years of dedication, planning, traveling, testing, training, competing, sleepless nights, financial- emotional- and physical losses, disapointment, happiness, friendship, knowledge, experience, learning, researching, networking and so much more.

It's a lifestyle and years of dedication to a breed.
