Today is one of our favourite days to celebrate - National Pet Day 🐾

We're celebrating the amazing bond between humans and their companion animals. All of the animals in our care are looking for their second (or third, or fourth) chance at a furever home, and we are lucky that so many of our Top End community choose to adopt, rather than shop, for their new best furiends.

We had so much fun making snuffle mats at Bunnings Warehouse Australia Palmerston store this morning. There will be some very happy cats, dogs, chickens (and a snake) using their new enrichment items. Fluffy the Dachshund has already given his approval 🐾

It was too early for a human sausage sizzle, but we found these sausage sizzle flavoured schmackos treats for our canine companions.

Berlin had so much fun visiting Dan at the Mix 104.9 studio this morning. We spoke about some exciting events coming up: KONG Stuffing Day this Saturday at RSPCA NT in Berrimah, where you can come and stuff KONG for one of our shelter animals while you're looking for your new four-legged companions. Meet brothers Smokey and Ginger, a PURRfectly bonded duo in need of a loving forever home together! These inseparable companions are longing for a cozy spot to cuddle up together and share their endless love with a compassionate family of their own.

Smokey is a Tabby and White DSH and Ginger is a Ginger Tabby and White DSH, both with endless cuddles for any human they meet. They will bring double the joy and double the affection to any home lucky enough to welcome them.

These beautiful boys are Cat-choo contacts, and have not been showing any symptoms. Our Cat-choo contacts normally come with a $50 adoption fee, but as these brothers must be adopted together, they have a special rate. Majesty joined a section of today's RAAF to Robbo with our mates Dan and Leisha from Mix 104.9 as part of their March On campaign for Soldier On Australia. This sweet girl loved meeting so many new people today, and may have stolen a few hearts.

Sweet Jessie went to the Mix 104.9 studio this morning to chat to our friends Leisha and Dan. We gave them the AMAZING NEWS that Pam, our longest term cat, was adopted after 510 days in care, and Mack, our longest term dog, was adopted after 251 days in care. This very affectionate girl is looking for her Happily Ever After too.

Amy, you've captured Pam's regal attitude perfectly!

This is Pam, our sweet 1 year 9 month old DSH who was given the royal treatment in the Poorly Drawn Pets campaign in January.

Pam has been with us for an astonishing 509 days! This gorgeous girl turns 2 in May, and we would love to see her being spoilt in her furever home by then.
