Some stories remind us all of the incredible power of community and compassion. ❤️🐾 🐶

This sweet dog Ruby had been living with a large, painful lump that was becoming increasingly dangerous. When the owner came to us unable to afford the surgery her dog desperately needed, we were determined to help. Thanks to the kindness of strangers and generous donors via GoFundMe, we were able to remove a dangerous lump weighing nearly 600g!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported this beautiful dog Ruby through her journey to recovery!
The relief this sweet girl is now feeling is priceless, and the owner is forever grateful to all those who made this surgery possible ☺.

This is what makes our work so rewarding, seeing animals healed and families restored.

Ray-Ray is a super cute lady looking for her forever home! She gets along well with dogs of all sizes and would suit a home alone or with a friend. Salt is looking for a foster home!

Salt is a very shy young man who will need some time to come out of his shell. He gets along well with other dogs and would suit any home that is willing to give him the love he deserves. Salt is still learning to be a house dog, and would thrive best with a family that can help him adjust to a new environment. to describe salt in 3 word it would be Playful, snuggly, cheeky, salts two favourite activities are walks and cuddles. Salt would love to be part of an active family who is willing to continue his training. He needs a big yard to play that is secure as he can jump high and loves to explore. Salt is great with children and joins in whenever he can. Salt can be a little cheeky and will happily take food that is left around or check out your rubbish bin. salt has a good side and a bad side just like every dog, the good, salt is great in the yard he doesn't dig, jump or chew he sits and waits for food at meal times or when he is given a treat he is friendly with the neighbour hood dogs he loves cuddles and belly rubs he loves to play with children (7-8) salt walks very well on the leash, salt rarely pull and he stops at road unfortunately salt can be a little food aggressive with other dogs when eating
although he never hurts salt is very mouthy and will happily put his teeth around hands and arms when on leash salt can be very vocal on leash when he sees other dogs but he is super friendly when off leash salt will chew through a leash/harness in seconds although salt can be a naughty dog he is a very good boy and would thrive in an active house hold

Today we received this lovely update from Walters new family, we are so happy we could help him find his forever home 💕
"Hi Paws team

I wanted to share an update on Walter, who is now known as Doug - as a show of thanks for the work that you do, and to let you know how well he is doing.

After reading the listing in which he was described as timid, and needing a lot of support and patience, we knew we could provide a loving home and give him all the time he would need to come out of his shell. As it turns out, the time he needed was all of about 5 minutes. He very quickly made himself at home, nuzzled in with us for cuddles on the couch, and challenged his new big sister and bestfriend Penny at playtime. Also, three legs? No problems.

We're so glad that we had the opportunity to foster, to test out how a second dog would fit in with us and to make sure that we were absolutely prepared. It was an incredible feeling (and heartbreaking a couple of times) to see our fosters go to their loving families, and even more incredible was welcoming Dougie into ours. When you know, you know.

We love him. Thank you for being the halfway house these animals need while they wait to become the next Dougie in a loving family."

Volunteers Welcome
We always welcome volunteer support! However, to ensure the safety of both people and animals, all volunteers must complete an induction before starting. Once inducted, you’re welcome to arrive early and assist our team with animal care.
