At Positive Equines we focus on building a trust relationship with horses. Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to look at Positive Equine Training.

This business is about helping horses have a happier life. My aim is to assist horse owners in discovering their horses' individual needs, and learning how to address those needs most effectively. Along the way, I hope to promote in the horse community a different approach to the traditional methods of horse breaking and training. Over thousands of years humans have demanded so much from equines.

Horses have carried us, pulled heavy loads, fought in wars with us and met our personal dreams at different showing events and in competitions, and in many other ways too I'm sure. All of these have been valid and beneficial pursuits to us as humans. I wonder though, how many of us have stopped to ask the horse what they want, and if indeed they agreed to being involved in these pursuits? I strive to understand the individual horses' views and feelings about what their humans want from them. What barriers there might be to that happening successfully, and how I can help them work through any trouble spots to produce a positive outcome for all involved. My priority is to show kindness and respect to these amazing creatures who have served us for so long. I don't assume to be an expert on horses or know all about horse training. I am constantly learning. What I do know is what the horses I've met have taught me. I strive to listen to them and understand more about these magnificent creatures everyday.
