l have owned, shown and been grooming cocker spaniels for 10yrs. All Cocker are hand stripped/groomed in a relaxed environment.

Have been very busy lately. With loads of grooms booked in.

Just afew photos of some grooms lately.

No apt's left for this month, have a couple left for March.

Have been very slack in posting before and after photo's.

December was truly very busy fitting everyone in for their grooms before Christmas day.

January is fully booked with February filling up quickly.

This little man Murphy came for his first big boy handstrip groom today. Murphy's owners have done an amazing job with him. He's come for puppy grooms up until now and certainly made grooming him so much easier. Murphy took the whole groom in his stride, as he is now very use to everything going on.
Murphy's coat has come up looking absolutely fantastic, as his coat wasn't stripped out to early, you can see its paided off, as look how flat his coat is and beautiful shaped.

This is why l thoroughly love grooming, to see the change and to take a dog from being scruffy to a beautiful tidy groom

This weekend has been a very difficult one,
My hands have paid the price with blisters, swelling and callous.

I have always tried to keep my grooming prices low, to help my clients out. But l am coming to realise that for $80 it is not fair on myself to groom extremely matted dogs from head to tail.

Grooms that can take up to 5hrs for $80 is not worth it. I have always done it for the dog, feeling bad but from after this weekend if the dog arrives badly matted there will be a de-matting fee.

If you can brush your own hair daily, you can brush your dog.

Both neutered and both have been clipped off. Now owner wants them to be handstripped. Little way to go to bring the coats back but now on track to do so.

Today has been a very sad day

My beautiful darling girl Zoe was laid to rest peacefully in my arms this morning. I am heartbroken 💔 with her loss.

Zoe, Queen Zoe or Zoe Bow as we called her was a true showgirl. She absolutely loved the ring, travelling and all the attention.
Zoe's achievements included

10 Runner Up In Shows
22 Best in Groups
27 Runner up Best In Groups

Countless Best child handler classes

Zoe was a true ambassador for Neuter showing. Zoe was retired at age 11 due to covid.

I will forever miss her. Thank you to my wonderful vet Trent Reaburn for helping Zoe find her wings, treating her with love and respect.

Thank you Pet Eternal for collecting Zoe on a Sunday, respecting my feelings, beening so respectful of our darling girl, handling her with such care. Zoe will be home forever in 5 day.

Forever in my heart and never forgotten ❤️❤️

This morning groom. Miss Ruby, darling girl to groom. Ruby is a working cocker and groomed abit differently, she is completely hand stripped all over and scissors only touch her feet.
Her parents do an amazing job of keeping her looking beautiful. Well done
