October has been a busy month with crutching marking and dipping. Flies and lice seem to be very active. Early November is busy so be sure to contact us with plenty of notice. We do have 0 withhold dipping options.

With lice as severe as I’ve seen it in years be very careful which product you choose. We are currently crutching these ewes who were treated with an any length wool lice control product 4 months ago. It’s failed to control the lice so the farmer has opted for early shearing and we will dip them 10 days post shearing. Don’t waste thousands of dollars on products that may not work.

I’ve had a lot of clients reach out in frustration with their current lice situation after trying an alternative method last year, it failing and them spending mega dollars. Please book early for dipping this year. Optimal timing is 2-4 weeks off shears. We can also use fly control in the dip. Do it once, do it right PIRAHNA and farm assist

Another successful week
Here we have a prattley curve and a double Combi clamp , all provided by farm assist. I scanned the ewes first marking the lates and drys and I was able to draft the drys off through this system with no treatment required. The remaining pregnant ewes received a capsule , priming drench and pre lambing vaccination. Do once do it right FARM ASSIST

At the moment our crews are extremely busy lamb marking , scanning, pre lamb treatments and crutching.

Dipping is starting to ramp up so be sure to book us in.

In Sydney at the Elanco sheep dippers conference. After a slow year of dipping for us, Australia as a whole has found itself with more lice then I’ve seen in years. I cannot stress enough that dipping remains the gold standard in lice control. Please call for a quote today as we are often half the price of the more convenient but also less effective options currently in the market . The bookings are rolling in and we looks forward to offering you an effective and affordable option.

Scanning sheep 🐑 on a -4 morning ! It’s all good this farmer supplied an excellent heater . ⭐️⭐️⭐️Word on the street ⭐️⭐️⭐️ DIPPING sheep continues to be the absolute best form of live eradication. So keep this in mind when choosing your lice treatment. If it seems too good to be true it probably is . Cha Ching !!!!!

Farm assist continues to be popular during this Lambmarking season with 3 teams of extremely experienced kind and knowledgeable staff on board. Some of the which are celebrating 7 years in this year. We do require 3 week minimum book in time and look forward to seeing you all in 2024 for dipping , crutching, scanning Lambmarking and so much more.

Call out to our valued clients . With sheep prices on the down low , the cease of capsuling and the introduction of flexolt farm assist has really taken a hit .
