This was too funny not to post. Thought I would get some totally innocent footage of the quails kicking up a storm in their new sand, instead get a rogue boy literally running in from no where to make it explicit 🤣 am I nuts or did he do that on purpose... Ill add that he's my hand raised quail

Limited number of fertile eggs now available again to post or pickup. Local pick up is $15 per dozen eggs (from Dubbo) or this is the cost including postage to all places -

32 for 1 doz
50 for 2 doz
70 for 3 doz
85 for 4 doz
100 for 5 doz
115 for 6 doz

Can do larger quantities if needed.

Quails are ready for sale, 10 each for males, 15 each for females, can do a discount for 10 or more quails at a time. Jumbo j**s. Best kept in a ratio of 1 male to 4 or 5 females.

Im always surprised how many quail egg salers online dont put up pictures of their flock or just send a couple of photos of their best birds out of hundreds, so ive gone through and made a compilation of colours that best represents my flock at the moment, keep in mind that all the classic colours are still in there, but ive been bringing up the number of pale shades. As much as id love to separate colour lines for customers it isnt possible right now, but i try to keep a balance and it is a juggling act with all the other stuff to select for. Hope you enjoy!

I definitely won't send these (inviable) gargantuan double yolker eggs to my customers, but I do love getting these to eat myself, must give those hens a nasty sting though ouch! Poor darlings...

Eggs weights and hatch size, only hatching from 15g upwards from now on, though the eggs I send out are on average between 12 and 14g. I do also weight grade my birds and I hope to be increasing the occurrence of goliaths over the next year or two, stay tuned! Will document if the size of the adults really are bigger based on egg weight once they are ten weeks old (3 months from now). What are your experiences? I read a paper recently that said there was a positive correlation...

I've had a fair wack of clucky hens this year, 7 successful hatches (and a few more cluckers that didn't succeed) in total making 20 babies, unfortunately I did not get photos of them all! Wanna know my secrets? 😅 These guys all ended up being sparklies. I did notice a higher proportion of females ended up hatching when naturally raised...

Quails can eat a huge variety of weeds or garden greens, this is just a pinch of what they enjoy. I do a lot of roadside foraging too if weeds are low at home - curly leaf dock, plantain, and prickly lettuce are the main ones (in central NSW).
