Many of our Dottie community knew our little pony Jimmy 🩵

Today we said farewell, he’s been in our family for 26 years.

Oh what a life, the little pony so many of us kids got to call our best friend.

Rest easy little fella, eat all the clover you like up there.

You will be dearly missed, until next time….

Is super important to us to socialise all our dogs and puppies with our whole family 🩷

We are passionate about our dogs, and not only our small dogs we also have working and hunting dogs 🐶

Here at Dottie’s Kennels we share that passion with you by aiming to have each and every puppy leave for their new homes well socialised with adults, small children and other animals. We take pride in breeding happy, healthy and confident pups to go from our home to yours 🏡

Have you got yourself a little chewer? 🐶

Puppies just like human babies are born without teeth, their puppy teeth begin to grow around 3-4 weeks of age. Than around 5 months give or take they begin to lose their puppy teeth and their adult teeth come through 🦷

This second teething phase of growing adult teeth generally only lasts a couple of months and is done by 7 months of age. However, the “teething chewing” can continue much longer.

For me personally the best thing that’s stopped puppies from chewing what they shouldn’t, is literally to puppy proof the areas where they have access to as much as practical. Make sure your puppy has good chew toys and offer raw bones and treats that keep your puppy chewing! 🦴

Continue with disciple and make sure you are the boss. Teach them no, redirect them and remain consistent. All easier said than done though huh 🤔 🙊

Something somewhere is bound to get chewed that shouldn’t! And likely more than once 😬

We’ve had a little break from socials, but we are back!!!

And just like that Alfie has set off on his next big adventure 🌳

But we had to take a quick selfie first, well because he’s cute, and he also wouldn’t sit still for a photo.

We currently have no puppies expecting, but plans in the pipeline for more cute fury faces and wet noses in the coming months. Stay tuned for what Dottie’s Kennels will be up to next 🐶

⭐️ Alfie ⭐️

We had to name him, our very last little Cavoodle and Alfie just seemed fitting.

His dad’s name is Alfie, and well after my attempt at a haircut to trim his face he resembles ALF off tv. If you know, you know 🙊

Now Alfie is still on the search for his perfect loving home and family. 🏡

A little about Alf 🧡
He loves to swim and play in his shell pool 💧
He enjoys his morning and afternoon walks everyday to go and feed our horses, where he patiently waits on the right side of the fence till the jobs done.
He loves the outdoors and to explore 🥾
He’s an absolute social butterfly and plays all day with our dogs, big and small.
He adores our little girl and follows us adults all day. So he will fit in well with a house with or without children, as long as you are willing to play and explore.
Toys are his favourite 🥎
He can be shy in new environments, however once he warms up and feels safe he’s a ball of fun 🤩
He’s begun toilet training with a grass mat.
Alfie has also started to learn his name and to sit when asked with treats, which he is absolutely kicking goals at. This next week we will begin learning to lead.
He’s booked in for his second vaccination 💉
Alf is already microchipped, had his first vaccination, wormed regularly and loves his food.

He’s ready to go to his new family and begin his next big adventure, wherever you may be 🌳 🏝️

We always get questions about what we feed our puppies and than adult dogs.

All our dogs and puppies get good quality kibble which they have access to throughout the day and nibble as they want. (with the exception of the chubby ones who need a little portion control 😉)

Our puppies are also fed twice daily with good quality wet puppy food and/or raw pet mince, generally beef. We like to mix a little cooked rice and steamed veggies through our pet mince at times for variety and added nutritional benefits. We do up bulk meals for our puppies to then freeze so we have some handy at all times.

Our adult dogs also receive a variety of different meats and raw bones throughout the week alternating between chicken, beef and lamb. Bones help to clean their teeth, offer nutrients such as calcium and is great for strengthening their jaw and stimulation.

Our last little Cavoodle in search of his perfect home 🏡

Our very last apricot Cavoodle is a soft and gentle boy, and looking for a family just the same 🐶 he loves a belly rub, swimming, and playing with his toys and family.

He does get a little nervous in new places or with new people but once he has found his place he has an absolute ball and his outgoing personality shines through ✨

Our very last Cavalier male looking for his forever home 🏡

This little man is your very best friend!

He loves following you around all the day, a bit of a snuggle bug and a fun loving boy. He loves our kids, other dogs and our cat 🐱 plus he’s frequently along the fence checking out what our horses are up too.

So rest assured he is well socialised, a bit of a farm boy but will love any home with lawn to play.
