A less than ideal start to one of the biggest days of racing in Australia.

We’ve had to scratch two of our horses but luckily we still have one to finish off the day in the last race at the bay 🏝️

Astern Magic (Scooby) steps out to the mile for the first time today, with a less than ideal barrier we are hoping he can slot in just behind the speed.

Back at the bay today 🏝️

We have three runners going around, all first up runs for the stable.
Scudetto and Heroic Spirit have both started on the Darwin track with their previous trainers, while this will be King Hallowell’s first time on the track.
All three horses should perform well and will tighten up after this run.

The team is stretched over two meetings tomorrow with three runners at Kununurra Race Club and one runner at Darwin Turf Club

Kununurra
⚡️Dembe steps out to the mile for the first time, while he’s still a little unfit he will have this run then go to the paddock for a refresh. It’s been a long and very slow process getting the big boy back to the track and while he’s handled it well he’s been in work for a long time and deserves a little holiday.

⚡️Story of Stella is our second runner for the day. Last start she raced a bit flat and didn’t show her best, hopefully tomorrow while she’s up against some handy horses she can step out like she did first up in Darwin

⚡️Miss black diamond is our last Kununurra runner for the day.
She ran a ripper race last start going down narrowly on the line. Fingers crossed tomorrow she can go one better. She’s up against a similar field to last week.

Darwin
⚡️Heroic Spirit is our only runner in Darwin. This will be Heroic Spirits first start for team, he’s back from a little freshen up and all reports from Taylor he’s been working well. He will need the run but we look forward to seeing him kick off his first wet season with us.
