It’s raining what now?

Here’s some ideas on how to provide mental stimulation working on heeling foundations in small space. This is our unedited session after a brake this morning:

Have fun connecting with your doggies indoors 🐾🐾🐾

All my dogs are different levels, I’m rewarding lots to create a strong understanding, muscle memory and clean heeling. Sassy is on continuous schedule of reinforcement while Panda is on intermittent schedule of reinforcement. Meaning Sassy gets rewarded every time she does the smallest bit right, while Panda gets rewarded sometimes after performing more than one skill.

Bowie heels on higher level, so he is on random schedule of reinforcement which means he may get rewarded every time, or after multiple skills or sometimes he will do multiple minutes and eventually get rewarded in a different location.

To create a clean performance there’s no rush fading out rewards.

In the first trial Mr Bowie was absolutely perfect but mummy skipped a sign and got us disqualified 😑…

Luckyly I lifted my game in the second trial and didn’t let him down that time ❤️❤️❤️

Very excited to start working on the advance level in Rally Obedience.

Thank you so much Fur Babies Forster Tuncurry for taking care of our pack while we are doing our second favourite thing, cheerleading competition! (Our favourite is anything with dogs). Love being able to have two packs combined with no problems!

This morning we went to have some fun with the pack on the beach. As much as I love training and teaching dogs fancy stuff, I really love letting dogs be dogs and it is so essential for their well being. These dogs are fully off leash trained, and that feeling is amazing when you know you can trust your dog, it will not go anywhere and has no desire to go anywhere else since they know that all their needs are met.

Check out Obis progress. Obi’s handler originally contacted me because of his reactivity towards humans and dogs. Together with 4 Paws Dog Training Taree we have developed a program for Obi to help with his reactivity. The progress he has made is incredible, and today he came over for a play date for the first time. He’s social skills with dogs were perfect and he had a fantastic day with the pack. Bob is making great progress! Up until today we have been working on Bobs loose leash walking skills and how to be neutral around dogs. Today we took a leap and organised a play session with Sassy.
