After a week of settling into the world our newest arrivals are getting fatter by the minute! Mum has done such an amazing job with these 4 and all are doing very well and healthy as could be🥰
We were blessed with 3 little girls and 1 boy🐾

💙 chocolate based shaded cream dapple
All of these beautiful babies will be DNA clear smooth coats and carry longhair, cream if not visual, possibly dilute, piebald, and e as well🤩

Our gorgeous black and cream longhair girl has now been significantly reduced to find her the best pet home ever!🤩

Our gorgeous black and cream girl is once again searching for her forever family. She is the smallest of the litter but has the biggest heart💗 She is so affectionate with the biggest personality and just loves to play all day long! Her coat is so thick and shiny already just like her daddy’s🤩

Time has come to introduce our very first litter of longhair and cream babies🥰

We were blessed with 4 little girls! And they are just divine🤩 mum and bubs are all going so well and they are growing like weeds already!
We definitely have some creams in the mix but only time will tell if we have all 4 creams💛

We are now opening EOI on all 4 of these gorgeous girls who are all DNA clear and longhair, will carry piebald, cream, and chocolate if not visual🐾

Wagtail Dachshunds would like to introduce the newest member to the family miss Lyla🤩
Our cream dream is finally coming true and with these new lines to Australia we could not be happier to have this little girl as apart of our breeding program.
She is out of an imported bitch (only lines in Australia) and by an ANKC dog.
Not only does she have this going for her but she is also DNA clear and carrie’s piebald.
We are so grateful to her breeder Danielle Tuckwell for entrusting us with this gorgeous girl! She will be cherished and loved unconditionally🥰

We have a little addition to the family🐾 This little boy had a few to many siblings and just wasn’t quite getting enough to fill him up. Maisie and her babies have been doing amazing so we thought we would see if he could fit in with them and well sure enough I think he is fitting is just fine🥰
Maisie has been the best mother to her 3 babies and now her 4th little boy🐾☺️

I love getting updates on how our little ones are settling into their new families and just to see how they are growing! And this litter is absolutely stunning😍
It’s always sad to see them leave but when you get updated pictures and videos out of the blue like this, makes it all worth it🥰🥺 Thank you so much to everyone who has taken these little ones in and made them apart of your family, we are so lucky that they all got such good pawrents to stay with and love forever 🐾☺️

First born was the chocolate dapple tuxedo piebald boy💙
Second we had the chocolate and tan piebald girl💗
And lastly we had the Isabelle dapple piebald girl💗

✨Seen this on another page! Definitely worth the read✨

🚨 Lets talk about Piebald! There is alot of misinformation out there regarding Piebalds. So I will try and explain it so its easy to understand.

🐾 Piebald is recessive, meaning both parents need to be one or carry the gene to get piebald pups.
🐾 Dapple is dominant, meaning only one parent needs to be dapple to get Dapple pups.
🐾 Same rules apply where you may NOT breed two dapples together, whether they are dapple piebald or just dapple, this is very Important.
🐾 Always a Solid or Solid Piebald to a Dapple or Dapple piebald.
🐾 Dapple Piebald can have blue eyes, No health risks.
🐾 Piebald has been in the Dachshund genetics from the beginning of when they were created.
🐾 Piebald has absolutely nothing to do with Double Dapple.
🐾 There are over 300 colours in Dachshunds, its very diverse.
🐾 Piebald have the same health issues , the same as any other colour Dachshund , they don’t have extra health problems, it’s normally people that have never bred or have had a piebald that spread misinformation because they have no experience with them at all.
🐾 Double dapple is Not a piebald, breeding a dapple to a dapple does Not make a Piebald. This is highly unethical and causes alot of problems.
🐾 We always genetically test for the sp/sp gene.
🐾 If you are familiar with piebald you can clearly see their characteristics but if Dapple is added it can be difficult, hence testing
🐾 Its not the Dark ages anymore and we can genetically test a dog if in doubt that someone is trying to pass a double dapple as a piebald .
🐾 Also I’ve seen Foxterrier being mixed with Dachshunds to try and create Piebald, this is Not Piebald but Mixed breeds.
🐾 When breeding always genetically test the Parents to see if they are compatible first this is very important as dapple can be hidden in some dogs.
