I have loved hiring the RDA Capricorn arena throughout the year for clinics and group lessons, its easy parking and the quiet, relaxed atmosphere makes it great for people just gaining confidence to get their horses out.

On Sunday I set up some Christmas themed props in the arena for our last booking here for the year. It was really interesting watching the horses navigate the same obstacles with different reactions and confidence levels. For the last session of the day I was joined by some of the beautiful RDA horses, it was lovely to meet Chips, Poppy, Marble and Jimi!

All the horses did fantastic and ended their sessions feeling comfortable with everything they were presented with.

And today I had the pleasure of riding Smoothy in the last show of the Western Dressage series. We took out first place in our classes, champion in our level for this show and champion in our level for the series. Thank you Leanne and Beth and the rest of the committee and sponsors, its been allot of fun trying my hand at western dressage and very lucky to do it on Smoothy!

We are devastated 💔 Grace foaled a beautiful colt on Wednesday night. Everything went beautifully and was up and drinking, healthly and happy. Just a few days later and he is gone. The vets did everything they could but we had to let him go 💔

Desensitising wasn't they plan for today but hey 🤷‍♀️😜

Elmo and Indi have settled in for their spell 💙💚

Henry headed home today. He has been with us on holiday since new years eve. Its always a pleasure to have this big boy around. Onyx also went home yesterday and the last 6 of the 9 horses we had here evacuated from the fires. Feed up time was pretty quick this evening!

Equine Focus Horsemanship and Coaching is owned and operated by lifelong horsewoman Jessica Panizza (Bosch). Jessica’s passion for everything equestrian stems from her upbringing with horses, which lead to her dedication to expand her equestrian knowledge. Over the past decade, Jessica has obtained numerous equine related qualifications, including a Diploma in Equine Smart Bowen Therapy, Certificate 3 in Sport Coaching (Equestrian), Coaching General Principles (Australia Sports Commission), Certificate 2 in Equine Industries and Certificate 2 in Agriculture (specialising in horse breeding), along with the completion of an Advanced Course of Horsemanship (California, USA), and courses in relation to equine behaviour, biomechanics and anatomy. Jessica’s equine knowledge combined with her extensive hands on experience uniquely positions her to assist you and your horse throughout your horsemanship journey.

Jessica has participated in multiple clinics with renowned horse trainers from Australia and the United States of America. Her knowledge of various training methods means you and your horse will benefit from a solid foundation, and she can adapt training methods to assist you with any difficulties you encounter. In conjunction with her training experience, Jessica’s background in Equine Smart Bowen Therapy, equine behaviour, biomechanics and anatomy enables her to determine whether your horse’s reactions or resistance to being ridden is influenced by factors besides training issues.

When rider coaching, Jessica will teach you the fundamentals of riding while you learn to work as team with your horse.Jessica concentrates on teaching riders to have an independent seat, soft hands and effective aids, so you and your horse can stride towards increased harmony, relaxation, and impulsion.If you do not own a horse, Equine Focus has school horses available for beginner and intermediate riding lessons.
