Well our first day of 2025 was hmmmm how should we say……interesting 🙈🤦‍♀️

With no water and a groomer unwell our day was off to a rocky start.

But the team hooked in and even though the grooming times were out of “whack” we managed to get everyone groomed rather than rescheduling for 2 weeks time!!!

A massive shout out to our awesome clients who were very patient and supportive. “THANKYOU” x

We are still on the hunt for an experienced groomer to take over a maternity leave position!

The team at Willow & Grace Grooming Salon are seeking an experienced groomer to cover maternity leave in the new year!

The position will start ASAP and training provided with the successful applicant being confident in grooming, have excellent customer service skills and have extremely high animal welfare ethics.

We are open to negotiating hours however stepping into our busy Christmas/Summer period will be a min 20 hrs per week.

Willow & Grace Grooming Salon is a flexible supportive workplace and are happy to work around school hours and offer a great lifestyle/work balance!

We also have a bather role available - no experience required. (Not suitable for school aged applicants)

🌞 Heat Stroke in Dogs: What to Look Out For and How to Help 🌞

As the temperatures rise, it's crucial to ensure our furry friends stay safe and cool. Dogs can suffer from heat stroke, which is a serious condition that requires immediate attention. Here's what you need to know:

Signs of Heat Stroke in Dogs:
1. Excessive Panting: Heavy, rapid breathing is a common early sign.
2. Dehydration: Look for dry nose and gums, and sunken eyes.
3. Excessive Drooling: More than usual can indicate overheating.
4. Lethargy: Unusual tiredness or lack of energy.
5. Vomiting or Diarrhea: These can be accompanied by blood.
6. Uncoordinated Movements: Staggering or difficulty walking.
7. Collapse or Seizures: In severe cases, dogs may collapse or have seizures.

What to Do if You Suspect Heat Stroke:
1. Move to a Cooler Area: Immediately get your dog out of direct sunlight and into a shaded or air-conditioned space.
2. Offer Water: Provide small amounts of cool (not ice-cold) water for your dog to drink.
3. Cool Your Dog Down: Use cool, wet towels on their body or a gentle fan to lower body temperature gradually.
