🎤Cattle Tech Days 2023 Speaker profile 3: Dr Ced Wise
As a highly respected vet specialising in embryo transfer and assisted reproduction, Ced will be joining us to discuss various methods of assisted repro work, field experiences and how different breeding methods suit specific situations.

Ced graduated as a veterinarian (BVSc.) from the University of Queensland in 1976. He spent the first three years following graduation in a mixed practice in Warwick, Queensland. Following this, Ced moved to the United States and spent four years doing post graduate work in Food Animal Medicine, Embryo Transfer and Semen Collection at Colorado State University, where he received a Master of Sciences (MSc.) and sat the board exams to gain a Diploma from the American College of Theriogenology (Dip.ACT.). On returning to Australia, Ced also sat the College exams to become a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Science in Reproduction (MACVSc.).
Since entering private practice in 1984, Ced’s career has been devoted entirely to artificial reproduction technologies in cattle. This work has seen him travel throughout Australia and overseas to New Zealand, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and Indonesia.
In addition to his private practice, Ced is a founding partner and the centre veterinarian at Rocky Repro, a bovine reproduction facility based in Rockhampton and is a shareholder, director and veterinary consultant for Inventia Genetic Technologies (IGT), a bovine IVF business based in Brisbane.
Ced is currently a member of the Australian Veterinarian Association (AVA), Australian Cattle Veterinarians Association (ACVA), Australian Reproductive Veterinarians (ARV), American College of Theriogenology (ACT), Society for Theriogenology (SRT), the International Embryo Transfer Society (IETS), and the Ruminant Genetics Trade Advisory Group (RGTAG).
