Happy Halloween! 🎃 Hope you and your fur babies have a Happy & Safe Halloween. Please remember these handy tips to help keep your fur babies safe~

1. Keep sweets away from your pets~ Lollies and chocolate can be extremely toxic to your pets.

2. Keep decorations out of reach~keep any electrical cords out of reach to prevent chewing, be careful with lit Jack-o-lanterns, & any decorations that could be a choking or foreign body hazard.

3. Dress Ups optional~only dress up your pet if you know they love it. Make sure they are comfortable and that it doesn’t restrict them in any way. Watch for signs of anxiety and overheating. If unsure~no dress ups

4. Social interactions~ too many people coming to the door could stress even the most sociable pooch out, help your pets stay relaxed by moving them to a quiet room with their favourite treat or toy and secure any pets who may run out the door.

Everyone meet Ziggy, our super handsome Airedale Terrier patient. Ziggy is walking and getting up so much easier since we instituted his arthritis management plan. He isn’t a fan of the vet clinic, so having his treatments at home is a win!🏡🩺

Sweet Nugget looking oh so irresistible after his annual vaccination today! Who can resist his chocolate sweetness and big brown eyes! 🍫😍

Mobile vet visits are perfect for Nugget as he gets very reactive to other dogs in vet clinic waiting rooms. At home he is an angel and didn’t even react to his needle with yummy treats given at the same time🐾

Just a reminder for this long weekend to make sure your beloved pets have plenty of opportunity to keep themselves cool during this heat wave in Winter!
Make sure they have plenty of cool ventilated shady areas to rest, plenty of cool water, limit their physical activity during the warmest parts of the day and enjoy some quality time with them.🐶🐈🥰

This special day celebrates our fur babies that have crossed rainbow bridge, but who remain in our hearts and memories.

“Say no goodbyes to those we love, though they have passed from view. Our mortal eyes seem not to see the truth that our hearts do. Love is of the spirit. It exists beyond these shores. And love still flows between us. Now and forever more.”

I’m not sure who wrote the above quote to give them credit, but it sure resonates with me especially on a day like today.

May you find some comfort in this quote as well and find a personal way to honour your fur babies memory on this special day.🤍🌈🐾
