Sometimes its easy to lose your steam when it comes to ongoing training. Lately, we've been conducting performance reviews for select clients. This involves an in-depth look at all the areas of their training to get an accurate picture of where exactly they're at. Then we had them come back to us with defined goals with where they wanted to be and what they wanted to achieve by the end of the year. From there we come up with methods to maximise the efficiency of their training, tailor it to their goals, and give them a realistic plan to get from point A to point B.

It takes a special kind of person to want one of these 😂 As utterly chaotic as these little terrorists were (chewing on the cupboards, the crates, each other, the vet, stealing the paperwork 😅), we were pleased with how little they cared about their surroundings or the examination. These pups are literally up for anything and a visit to the vet is just a good time to them.

We are committed to giving our pups the absolute best start! This includes exposure to a wide range of objects, obstacles, surfaces, and sounds, rewarding and encouraging our pups to be bold and curious rather than anxious or fearful. We give them a range of safe and positive interactions with people and animals, and introduce them to the crate. We encourage food drive by introducing our pups to working for food rewards to set their new owners up for successful future training. Furthermore, we introduce our pups to productive play, showing them an acceptable outlet for their excessive energy and get them used to redirecting off inappropriate chewing items and onto to the toy. This is just as important for puppies going to active pet homes as those going to working homes.
Finally, we are always available to our new owners for a lifetime of support and advice.

We have a special 30min mix of desensitisation sounds which contains everything from thunderstorms, machinery, animal sounds, sirens and more. We play this mix regularly for them as it's important to us that our puppies have their best possible start and grow into strong, confident, and stable dogs.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the first ever Ozsieger mock trial day a success!
It allowed our handlers to practice under trial conditions in front of spectators, see just where our dogs are at, and gave us great insight into which areas we should be focusing our training.
From capturing footage/photos, stewarding, suiting up, and all the myriad of other details that make up a trial - it all came together beautifully with everyone's hard work.
The team atmosphere was fantastic and we can't wait to do it again in the new year.
