Violet was starting to look like a super-floof so it was time for her first ‘big’ haircut. We had washed, fluff dried and done a tidy-up previously, but we wanted to grow her body, leg, ears and tail fur to enhance her big teddy features before doing the full groom.

First pic was after her bath and fluff dry. She looks twice the size she is😂

Second pic is all done. Look at her lovely smile. We’re so lucky to have found her❤️🐾

Hope you're all having a relaxing weekend, both human and furry friends alike.

Only 6-weeks to go until close-down🥹 I have drafted my calendar to fit in everyone who is due an appointment prior to that date. Appointments up to and including Sat 9 November were sent out last week.

For those of you who have been sent your appointment, can you please check you will be available on the date allocated so that if not, I can reschedule you and assign your spot to someone else. It is unlikely I will be able to do either of those things if it's too short notice.

The final appointments up to Sat 30 November will be sent out next week.

Hello Friends. Each time I post something it reminds me how short the time is that I have left to look after my furry friends. I'm so sad, but I know it's the right thing to do (I keep telling myself this🥹)

I have today sent out notifications to everyone who has an appointment due up to the end of October. For some of you this will be your last appointment with me, I'll try not to cry when you leave, but I've not been very successful so far when doggies have left.

I will send out all the November appointments up to my closure date on 30 November, soon. In the meantime, if you have any queries about your appointments please contact me straight away, and likewise, if you are unable to attend your appointment or have already secured the services of another groomer, just let me know that too. 🐾❤🐾

NOTICE REGARDING CANCELLATIONS.
I know and totally accept that cancellations are generally unavoidable. Work commitments, childcare issues and the unexpected curve balls that throw out your plans and schedules.

I did just want to let everyone know though, that my appointment calendar is absolutely full, from now until my closure date of 30 November. If you need to cancel, that's okay. But please be prepared that all I can do is add you to a cancellation list as I have absolutely no wiggle room to offer an immediate alternative.

Likewise, if you know you need to cancel in advance of the appointment day, please let me know as soon as possible so I can move somebody from the Cancellation list, into the spot.

Thank you for your understanding and as always, I will always do my best to accommodate each and every one of you.

Picture is nothing to do with the topic but I thought it was funny, because now we have three dogs, Sniffari's are a real thing! No such thing as a quick W.A.L.K. anymore. They are on it!

This is our Violet six weeks on.

I gave her, her first groom since we got her now that her fur has grown back a bit and she’s put a little weight on.

She’s almost back to the big teddy I knew she could look like. Just got to wait for those ears to grow down a bit more 😊🐕🐾❤️

Rosie is pretty chilled and just likes to lie down during groom time - so we just go with the flow and let her relax - exactly what you deserve little lady.

First week in August already!

Time is flying by. It's quite unsettling how quickly the months are ticking away🥹

I have today sent out all the appointments up to 4 September.

If you have already secured a spot with another groomer and no longer need this or any further appointments, please let me know as soon as possible so I can reallocate them.

I will only be delivering the 'Learn to Groom your own Dog' Workshops until the end of November, so if this is something you are interested in, you'll need to let me know as soon as you can so I can fit you into the schedule.

I'm not working this week - catching up with 'personal stuff' etc and planning the next workshops.

I am setting dates by breed, as demand presents. The following one-hour 'Introduction to Grooming your own Dog' sessions have already been set, so if you have any of the breeds listed below and would like to Learn to Groom your dog, just drop me a message.

Meet Violet the Labradoodle, our new family member❤️

Some of you know that we found this girl on Stanmore Road on Monday morning.

We tried extensively over 2 days to find her owners but no one came forward or reported her missing and the person listed on her microchip was not responding to phone calls or messages.

Eventually, late Tuesday afternoon, we were contacted by her owner who said she wanted to rehome Violet due to personal circumstances (please don’t judge, she has her story) and that if we wanted to keep her she would sign her over to us, if not, she would be surrendering her to the pound.

Of course we wanted her!🐾❤️🐾

And that’s how we came to have another dog. She’s almost 5years old and is the most beautiful, well mannered, placid girl. We already love her.

Saffie and Maizie are adjusting to the newcomer. The cat jury is still out😂

The first three 'Oodle owners are now all fired up to groom their own dogs having completed both their 1- hour information session and the 3 - hour Practical, hands-on grooming of their dog.

They will come along and observe me grooming other 'Oodles so they can keep it fresh in their mind for when they do it by themselves on their own pooches (when their pup’s fur has grown back)🙂.

On Thursday there is a Cocker Spaniel grooming Information session at 10:00am and looking forward to meeting those Mums and Dads.

On Saturday there is an information session for Shih-Tzu and Maltese Mums and Dads at 12:30! So looking forward to that too!

I am loving this teaching role. It's so good that even though I will no longer be grooming dogs myself after November, I can still teach others and have contact with dogs and their parents.
