PUPPY FARMING BILL JUST PASSED UPPER HOUSE!!!
Despite a huge campaign from an industry that didn’t want regulations, the majority of the Upper House today voted to end the cruel practice of puppy farming.
Puppy farming is the intensive factory farming of dogs for a pet trade industry.
Sadly, Oscar of Oscar's Law passed away recently. Oscar spent the first 5 years of his life in a puppy farm, but his life truly began when he was rescued by Debra Tranter the founder of Oscar’s Law. He inspired the campaign to end puppy farming in Victoria – and I dedicate today’s step forward in his memory.
Oscar, we will ban puppy farming in NSW as well- mark my words!
