This time of the year is so busy for cat lovers and show attendees. However this is one not to be missed and well worth the travel. A hall full of purebred cats from some of the best breeders in Queensland, judges from local to international picking their best cats, rescue cats and companion cats in need of homes for viewing, stalls of cat items and did I say COFFEE and food vans.
So what better way to surround yourself with kitty love at Maryborough Showgrounds 29th and 30th June bring yourself and movie themed fancy dress and have some fun.

So yesterday afternoon/evening we went to Mt Larcom Agricultural Show. Sir Dobby and I had a fantastic time met so many cat lovers and had so many pats. Highlights were the wood chop (yes it was noisy but in true Dobby style he watched and didnā€™t mind), the equestrian events he wasnā€™t sure when they came up fast, the bubble man was amazing and he loved watching the bubbles, best of all were the adorable public. We left before fireworks šŸŽ† as expected.

Sir Dobby are you in there, finally got him to a show and look he scored some ribbons. ACF Nationals were a blast and I met some wonderful supporters of the breed and lovers of Dobby. He may not be everyoneā€™s cup of tea but heā€™s my forever companion and always by my side.

Entries close on this coming Friday the 31st May for the Rockhampton Agricultural Show Cat Section.
If you are thinking about entering and have any concerns I will be around all week and nights during the week to assist with your entries or questions.
Have no equipment and itā€™s your first time, we have all been there before. Regional Queensland Cat Club will help out by assisting with cages and curtains and any on the day nerves you might have.
We are an inclusive club and ā€œall cats matterā€ so we include a fantastic companion section for your moggies aka majestic domestics as well as our pedigree breed section.
Donā€™t have a cat but would like to snuggle with one or talk to a breeder, come on down between 9 and 5Wednesday to Friday and we can assist with your need for a cat drug fix.
Want to help our rescue group we have an amazing basket available that donations can be made to help support Central Queensland Animal Society, we welcome everything from a dog lead to a tin of food, every little helps.

Sir Dobby and Renzo will be at the poultry sale tomorrow with a stall. Renzo is looking for a new mum and dad and hasnā€™t found his perfect home quite yet so is taking interviews. Sir Dobby will be supervising as usual and begging for treats.

Lots of time to chat with the public about cats and kittens seeking new homes, about your chosen bred, how people can help their local rescue groups. Time to chat with a judge and breeders about what breed is best for your family.
Lots of prizes up for grabs including CASH.
12th-14th June 2024 Rockhampton Showgrounds.

We have a large amount of prizes and equipment that desperately needs to re locate to Rockhampton for the Maryborough show in late June. Every little helps if you are travelling from Townsville to Rockhampton and can offer space even for a single box that would be much appreciated.
