🐾 Meet Stella (second photo) & Tex (first photo) 🐾

Stella and Tex are both Greyhound rescues, Tex coming from the Maryborough Animal Refuge and Stella from Friends of the Hounds. Their birthday's are only two days apart, Stella is 9 and a half and Tex is 6 and a half.

After a challenging road for them both to learn to adjust to a better life style, it's safe to say they love life and lap up being spoilt each and every day (hey, they deserve it! 😀) They both share common interests of "Zoomies", walkies, playing with their soft toys and naps on soft beds! 🐾🧸

We are blessed to have beautiful people on this earth who change their lives for the better!

🐾 Meet Bobbie and Brax! 🐾

Bobbie (left) is a beautiful Bull Arab cross Irish Wolfhound and she will be four years old next month. She loves her car rides, walkies and also just stopping to "take it all in" 🏞 Her guarding skills are on point by keeping her owner safe from people with "high viz" on (just in case he couldn't see them of course) 👷‍♂️

Handsome Brax (right) is a four and a half year old Staffy cross Cattle dog who loves his food, pats and his number one favourite, his kong toy! 🌑 Brax is very considerate for who ever is playing kong because he will put it in your hand rather than you having to bend down! 🐶

In the owners words both Bobbie and Brax "go to water" when around women and kids, especially babies 🤱 What a great way to start a Friday with these two!

Here are the two latest additions to the walkies club! I was blessed with these two beautiful pups Sadie (right first photo) and Clay (left first photo) 🐾

Sadie is an Irish Wolfhound and is just shy of two years old. Sadie is a rescue dog and loves her "zoomies" with Clay. When Sadie grows up, she would like to be a detection dog as she loves to sniff absolutely everything and she keeps security on point by chasing birds in the backyard.

Clay is an Irish Wolfhound Bull Arab cross and is four years old. Clay is also a rescue dog who loves sniffing and chewing on sticks. Having a tummy rub is definitely high on the list of best things in the world for Clay.

🍓🥕🍌 Food for thought Thursday! 💭🤔🤓

Things are pretty costly for everyone right now so the last thing you want is to throw away produce because it wasn't used in time. In moderation some fruits and vegetables can be shared with your pooch but always be sure to check as some foods are toxic for dogs! Here are some safe options.

🍎 Apples - Remove the seeds and core of course! - They are high in vitamins A and C, fibre, and are low in protein and fat.

🥕 Carrots - Promotes teeth clean, full of fibre and beta-carotene, which produces vitamin A.

Celery - Helps keep your dog's breath fresh, contains vitamins A, B and C and helps promote a healthy heart.

🥒 Cucumbers - Low in fats, oils and carbohydrates but packed with vitamins. A great snack for dogs that need to watch their weight.

🍉 Watermelon - A perfect treat to help keep your dog hydrated. Be sure to remove the rind and seeds of course!

Also greek yogurt that has lots of live cultures, such as plain, Greek-style yogurt. The yogurt should be free of any added sweeteners, both natural and artificial such as xylitol as this is toxic for dogs! - Yogurt can act as a probiotic, which can be good for the digestive system.

Today's treat, blueberries and strawberries frozen in greek yogurt. These were sent to the "Labs" for testing... They were gone before I could hit record! 😋

🍓🥕🍌 Mix it up Mondays! 🍏🍍🍉

Warmer days are approaching and there are definitely a heap of options for frozen treats for your pooch!

The other day I accidentally snapped this ice tray and instead of it ending up in land fill, I thought I'd put it to good use! Blue berries are a great low calorie treat for dogs and have a bunch of health benefits! I added water and let them set in the freezer. You can use any dog friendly food for example, apples, watermelon, strawberries, pineapple etc and should be done in moderation of course. This also gives your pup stimulation whilst trying to retrieve the treat.

There are diy kits available from your local pet shops of course or you can jump online and check out a bunch of home made recipes, ranging from ice creams, pupsicles and purees.

More Q and A! 💭🤓

Do you offer stay overs in people's houses? No I don't. The reason being is that I have another personal commitment that I am required for that prevents this from being a possibility.

Are you old enough and strong enough to walk our dog/dogs? I have had some customers concerned I may be "too young" in the sense of strength and also maturity. I completely understand the concern so hopefully this gives you peace of mind that I train at the Real Body Movement six days a week. I've always walked dogs from my teenage years and I am now 31 years old.

What if our dog isn't up for a 30 minute walk? It's no problem! I let your dog enjoy their time out, they get to stop for a sniff and have water breaks in the hope they can get their full time. If I can see your dog is struggling physically or wanting to turn around etc I'm not going to force them to make their time if they are unhappy. We will turn around and take our time, it's all about your pup being happy and healthy! 🐩🐶

What if I need to cancel my walk? That's no issue at all, just let me know! Your walks can be for when ever you choose, for a week when you are time poor, when you're away, sick, injured etc. There are no locked in contracts here!

Why do you take photos and videos? For peace of mind for you! It's so you can see your dog is having a good time and you are getting what you have paid for! 🐕🐾

💭💬 Q and A time! I thought I'd put this post up to answer some common questions I'm being asked.

Do you charge per dog? No I don't 🙂 if I can walk your dogs together, I don't charge extra. The only reason I would is if I had to walk them separately.

Do you walk our dogs with other dogs? No I don't, reason being their safety. I want to rule out the chance of confrontation and your dog deserves to be comfortable. Sometimes it can take time to be comfortable around new dogs.

How long is your spring special going for? I've decided it will continue until November 30. This is to show appreciation to my clients and to hopefully draw in new clientele as I still have some spots available.

How many dogs can you walk at once? The most I've ever walked is two. I could definitely increase with smaller dogs. My two dogs are quite strong so for bigger dogs, I would need to gauge their strength.

Where do you service? I'm servicing within 10km of my residence for example: Chatsworth, Tamaree, Two Mile, Araluen, Victory Heights, South Side, Monkland, Jones Hill ect.

Struggling to keep your pooch entertained? Well have I got some bordem busters for your beloved! 🐕🐶🐩🐾

1. Walkies are a definite! 😉 have you booked yet?

2. Change up their toys! Don't have all of their toys on display, mix it up! For instance, say you have 20 toys available in total, rotate them in bunches of five and change them every few days. This will help keep them stimulated and it will be like they are getting "new toys".

3. Hide and seek! Place some treats around the house or backyard without your dogs help of course. Then let them sniff out your hiding spots. This can also be done without treats, using yourself and calling out your pups name for a bit of help whilst they try to find you.

4. Teach your pup the name of their toys! For instance, in this house hold, we have bear bear, ducky, monkey, ect. When playing, say "get bear bear" and treat them when they get it right. They will soon work it out!

Yesterday I had the privilege to meet these two beauty's, Narla and Ronnie! 🐾

Narla is a five year old American Staffordshire Terrier who loves her walkies as you can see from her beautiful smile in the third photo! She also loves sunbathing and having a snooze 🌞💤 Security is her middle name as she made herself the protector of her family and household! She won't rest until she is satisfied she has walked the boundaries checking her humans and home is safe! 🦸‍♀️🐕 This of course works up an appetite so it's fair to say Narla is fond of a snack or two! 🦴 But hey, aren't we all? 😏

Ronnie is almost 6 and he is an American Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Ronnie is a big softy at heart but he also has a crazy hyper side which definitely comes out when playing with his rubber toy ball, he may just be a tad obsessed! ⚫ His super hero strength is on point as he almost pulled me into a different dimension when playing with his toy! 😮🦸‍♂️🌠

It was so rewarding to see both their beautiful smiles after their walk! 🥰

🌅🌞 Now that warmer weather is approaching, I will be adjusting my walking times to make sure your dog is comfortable and not at risk of overheating! Your pooch's health comes first! There will be water available for your beloved whilst on our walk also! 💦🐶

Times available were as:
Monday to Friday - 6.30am to 9am and 4pm to 6pm
Saturday - 5.30am to 7am
Sunday - 7.30am to 9am

Depending on the weather, it will more likely be 6.30am to 8am and between 4.30-5pm to 6pm ish
Saturday 5.30am to 7am
Sunday 7am to 8am
This will be gauged daily and I will keep in contact with you regarding your booking time! 🐾

A few reason's why you should choose me to walk your fur baby 🐾

1. Because your dog deserves to get out and about, exercise, have a change of scenery, take in all the smells and have some fun! 😀

2. We can do a meet and greet first, at no cost! I get it, I'd totally be a bit weird about letting a stranger walk my beloved dog so this is why I offer a meet and greet to help you feel more comfortable 🐾

3. I am covered by insurance for peace of mind. Also, I enquire on which veterinary service you go to so I'm prepared if I was to arrive to find your pup unwell etc ⚕

4. Because I love animals unconditionally, especially dogs! I will take the best care of your beloved pup! 🐾

5. My time in travel and being at the property is not included in your dogs walk time. I put a timer on from when we start walking to ensure they get the amount of time you have asked for🚶‍♀️

Meet Jasper 🐩 Jasper is a five year old Moodle who loves a walk and to sniff everything in his path! He also loves to play and tends to scare people whilst he is doing so as he gets so excited he can't stop barking 😯 He also has big dog syndrome so security for his family is on point! 😉 Jasper really enjoyed all the smells on his walk today as you can see from his beautiful smile! 🐾

Motivational Monday's! 😀 Movement is so important, not only for your dog but for yourself as well! Apart from the obvious walking or jogging with your dog, here are some other suggestions.

Swimming is a whole body workout that takes the weight off your pup’s joints, it’s perfect for seniors or those with joint problems. Around 10-15 minutes max to prevent your dog from getting tired, overheated or from swallowing too much water. Smaller, flat toys such as frisbees are a better option whilst playing.

For dogs that love to fetch, frisbee is a great form of exercise that also provides you with some cardio benefits, as you run and throw the frisbee. Add some variety to your usual game of fetch by teaming up with other people and pups.

Dancing with your dog (Canine Freestyle) - This can be tailored to your dogs physical abilities. You and your pup perform a routine to music that incorporates tricks that make it look like you’re dancing together. This may include heeling, weaving, paw work, jumps and more.

There are heaps of options out there that can be tailored to your dogs needs and your own! So what are you waiting for, get moving today! 😀

Meet Lucky Lincoln 🐾 Lincoln isn't quite one yet and has already overcome some pretty scary physical issues like a trooper! This Labrador loves his fruit and vegetables, kids could learn a lot from him 😉 though maybe not from his next trait! He loves to keep his Mum on her paws as he enjoys swinging off her tail! 😮 Lincoln would like to be a fisherman when he grows up as he loves collecting and eating clams out of the dam!

Just one of the benefits of walking your dog, you might save a life! I found this little one taking a rest on the road. After speaking to a wildlife expert and confirming it could fly, she was happy for this one to be released! 🐦
