I am located in Nintingbool Victoria, I breed and show mainly Pekin bantams but also RIR bantams and

Unfortunately I have made the decision to get out of pekins for the foreseeable future, my pekins will be up for auc at the Ballarat Poultry society’s auc this coming Saturday 15th April.

Today we travelled to Shepparton for the soft feather show, with both the Rhode Island club sho and the pekin club show.

With my RIR bantam cockerel I was lucky enough to get
•Champion bantam Rhode Island Red of show
•Champion bantam Rhode Island of show and
• Reserve champion bird of show.

My pekins didn’t do too bad in there classes and my little splash boy took out champion splash.

•Best of breed RIR
•Sydney Anderson memorial award Champion land fowl in show
•Champion soft feather bantam heavy
•Neil Overall memorial award best Rhode Island in show
•Champion soft feather bantam in show
•Champion bantam in show
•Champion bird in show

Kyneton and district poultry club
Had an awesome day at Kyneton poultry show this long weekend with my Pekins taking out the best of breeds in there colours and my RIR bantam gaining the best of breed, champion heavy soft feather bantam and reserve champion bird of show.
I’d also like to thank the judges for their decision making.

Western region poultry club show
Was a good day at Daylesford for the western region poultry show, pekins did pretty well in there classes. RIR bantams did very well with my RIR bantam cockerel winning reserve soft feather heavy bantam.

Yesterday we travelled up to Shepparton for the big soft feather show where we achieved great results

Pekin club of Victoria show: 100 entries total.
I won reserve champion black pekin, champion blue pekin and champion pekin in show (I also got the VPFA 50th anniversary ribbon for champion bird of show)

Rhode Island club of Victoria: 120 entries total.
I won bantam Rhode Island Red of show and champion bantam Rhode Island of show.

Then we travel to Echuca last night from shep penned our birds and went to the Echuca workers for dinner with the rest of the wonderfull competitors, today we showed at Echuca where I got best pekin blue, best pekin black, champion pekin (with a black pullet), champion soft feather bantam female and champion soft feather bantam.

Overall it was a great weekend I got to also catch up with some people I haven’t seen in ages and play with some mischievous puppies. I’d also like to put a special thank you to the judges, stewards, the poultry clubs, committee members and fellow competitors.

Yesterday we loaded up the show team (which consisted of about 26 birds) into the dog trailer and headed off to Colac show, I was thrilled with the results from the whole team it was so good to be out and showing again and catching up with some familiar faces and some new.
