✨ HARVEY’S REDUCED ROACH BACK ✨

Harvey had two treatments between this before and after picture! 🙌🏼

Since his treatments, Harvey has picked up in condition physically and in spirit!
He’s running around the paddock, kicking, bucking, laying down and holding his trot and canter.
Not to mention he has been a lot better behaved for the farrier. A bonus for everyone 🤭

✨KING GEE✨

So, I’m finally getting to treating some of my own polocrosse ponies! 🐎

This is King Gee, he is a 4yo stock horse. He played his first season of polocrosse this summer, and my, did he step up.

Being so young and large 😳 I kept a close eye on him making sure I wasn’t pushing him too hard, too early. I did notice he was developing a slight “roach back”.

“Roach back” is due to misalignment (can cause quite a lot of discomfort), the lumbar grows excess calcification when left untreated in arched position, causing a raised appearance in the lumbar region of the back.

Treating a Roach back is best done as early as possible, and often.

✨ ATLAS DESCRIPTION ✨

A great video describing the Atlas (C1) by another great Equine therapist Happy Trails Alignment Therapy LLC and class mate of mine, Angela from Idaho, USA 🇺🇸

The Atlas is first and most important of all the cervical vertebrae. Skeletal adjustments to the Atlas can be a game changer for you and your horse.

Small signs such as head tossing, resistance to one rein or simply a change in your horses way of going, physically and personality, can all be signs of misalignment of the Atlas.

✨TWIST✨

Twist came to me on Wednesday last week, after pulling up sore in her near side hind from polocrosse the weekend prior.

I did an extensive treatment on Twist and found multiple misalignments, tight and sore muscles, as well as quite a large pelvis rotation and pronation. These are not uncommon for a seasoned playing horse.

Post treatment, Twist was sound and cleared to play by the weekend of the treatment. 🥍🐎

✨Rajah✨ Aka the mule, thoroughly enjoyed his extensive treatment yesterday. This big fella has many proven ribbons and rugs under his belt. He has a very willing and honest attitude towards everything thrown at him. It’s types of horses like these, that you know something isn’t quite right when they start to show signs of unfamiliar personality traits, on the ground or under saddle.
