New Task learning
Since both my electric w/chairs are out of action Betty and I have been working on a new task: pulling me along in me manual w/chair.
After one week of lots of internal frustration, keeping calm, treats and positive reinforcements equates to Betty now pulling me along thus taking a massive strain off me body. 👌👌👌
Sooo good when Betty stops sniffing..
So good when that nose stops sniffing..
First train ride for Betty heading into brizzy...
The frustration of having a "Service Dog" in public.. Please share for social education. Cheers
Betty practicing light switches, now to "switch" things up and change from "touch" to turn off and turn on".
Betty has been learning to "target" with here nose with which she's been doing good.
Finally we have transfered the "target/touch" from me hand to a light switch.
Happy Dayz..
Betty's learning to shut doors, just need her to target things so she can open doors and operate light switches and traffic light crossings..
More road drain fun, practice makes perfect..
Today we worked on "hopping" over road grates, worked with Betty leading the way instead of me showing her what's expected.. Took around 30mins of laying her " happy mat" over half of the grate. As Betty got used to it we reduced the mat size until now she walks/little hop over the grate..
DO NOT LOOK, MAKE KISSY NOISES OR TOUCH ANY DOG THAT HAS A SERVICE/ASSISTANCE VEST ON, ANY DOG IN A SHOP YOU SHOULDN'T INTERACT WITH THEN AS OUR LIVES DEPEND ON OUR DOGS BEING FOCUSSED ON THE HANDLER.
Some video of the "travelator" experience round 1. Done well for her first time and have things identified for improvement.
Learning to get my washing out of the front loader. Betty was being a little silly but still completed the task.
