Thanks to our incredible Horse of the Year Sponsor, Camelot Horse Rugs, we will once more be running our Horse of the Year competition across the 2025 Hawkesbury Dressage Festival 🥳🥂

🚨To be eligible for Horse of the Year , you need to enter at least 4 tests at the same level over the course of the Festival, ie. 4x Novice or 4x Advanced tests over the 8 days of competiton. If you enter more than 4 tests at one level, your best 4 results will be taken.

The exceptions are for Pony of the Year, CUR HOTY, and Supreme HOTY. For these awards, results will be taken from tests at different levels (ie. Pony of the Year could be 2x tests at Novice and 2x tests at Elementary).

Points will be awarded according to your placing in the class. For example, in a class of 23 horses, the first placed horse will receive 23 points, the second place 22 and so on. The horse with the most points across the 4 tests will be awarded HOTY.

Horse of the Year will be awarded at the following levels:
Preliminary
Novice
Elementary
Medium
Advanced
FEI
Pony
OTT
CUR
Supreme

So keep that in mind when you're doing your entries! Good luck to all competitors!
