Colt Start Internship Acceptance 2024
So happy to receive an email this morning from The Australian Cowgirl Co. accepting my application for the Woodstock Paint Horses Horsewomen Touch Colt Start Internship. Very excited to be part of this in April 2024!!
How much do you trust your horse??
Another test for Maddie today!
Thanks to everyone that has messaged me about your interest on this lovely little mare, at the moment I’m just trying to perfect a few little things. However, I’m hoping to put together a sale video in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out! 😊
During Maddie’s training, we’ve really tried to exposed her to as much as possible. Living on a farm I have the opportunity to introduce her to a whole range of things like the tractor, my brothers riding their motorbikes, the Polaris side-by-side flying past and the selection of obstacles we have here at Natural Equine Solutions. However today, Maddie got the chance to further her experience with cattle! Taking everything in her stride, she didn’t put a foot wrong.
HSH Wingara Casino’s first time moving under saddle, nothing fazes this girl!
Maddie powering over the obstacles!! Anyone looking for their next Extreme Cowboy Racing pony? Keep an eye on this one! 🤩
This little mare Maddie just keeps on amazing me!
Here we are, calmly sitting on a loose rein in an open paddock while her paddock mate Evie charges around like a mad thing! 😂😂
Maddie just “stays with me” so nicely. It’s all about getting their thoughts and feet in the same spot 👍🏼
Maddie having some fun moving around the calves today. I am so impressed with how this mare is coming along!!
Trail Riding - Hank
After heaps of rain over the past couple of weeks, it was a bit wet for our trail ride today!
Casino ponying off Hank
Teaching Casino to pony off another horse today. Seems Hank was a bit fed up with her antics by the end!! 🤣🤣
Casino with the tarp
Casino taking the tarp in her stride!
The connection I have with this horse allows her to trust me in stressful situations. She’s really looking to me for guidance.…as you can see Cass was very stressed out here. 😂
Cass with a Bridle on for the first time.
Cass with a bridle on for the first time!
Cass spent 25 minutes by herself in the roundyard, working out what the ‘bit’ meant. (Why is it in my mouth? How do I get it out?) Once I gave her time to figure everything out, she became very relaxed holding the bit and has now stopped thinking that metal is edible!! 🤣
Horse’s in the Paddock
One whistle to Cass and they all come!!
Hank & the cattle 🐄
Hank on the steers…before we fell over 🤣
Slipping and Sliding through the Paddock on Hank! 😳
Loved playing around on Hank this morning with a few steers, he was loving it too. However, after the big rainfall it was a bit slippery!! Mum was videoing but the camera hit the ground as quick as I did when she saw what happened! 🤣
Hank was a legend though 😁 He didn’t thrash around, lay still on the ground until i asked him to get up (l think he was enjoying the rest🙄)
when he stood up, he just stood there next to me while l gathered my thoughts and got up out of the mud!😂 Couldn’t have asked for more from him when our world turned upside-down 😉👍🏼
Cass Long-reining
Teaching Cass to Long-Rein.
The patience she has while i’m still learning to not fall over the rein’s is incredible! 🤣 Love this filly! I have learnt so much from her…and i’m still learning new things everyday.

Riding Hank
How lucky am I to have a Dad as a horse trainer with all of these amazing and talented horses! Jumped on Hank this afternoon and tried out his brakes! 🤣
Chestnut trail ride
Trail riding with the “Red heads” and Bridget!
🌧 Raining ~ 19/12/2021
Won’t be riding in the round yard and arena for a while…🌧🌧
