The Border Collie is a working and herding dog, one of the most intelligent of all breeds. It was specifically bred for intelligence and obedience.

This working farm dog is famous for his intimidating "eye"-a fixed, hypnotic stare as it crouches low and creeps up on the sheep. The natural life span of the Border Collie is between 10 and 14 years. We at Redpath Working Dogs, run a mixed enterprise farm, consisting of a Free Range Piggery Business, a small mob of sheep and cattle used for killers, and a small mob of goats used for w**d control.

We use border collies for mustering all our stock. Murray has been associated with working border collies for most of his working life, and has always wanted to breed and train them.
