Welcome to our first male surrender for 2024, this is Houdini, he was given the name because he can eat his way out of wooden hutches 🤣

He's a little bit thin and hungry, he started nibbling on my skin and necklace like it was food, I think once fattened up a bit he will be a handsome boy 💙

Oh no I've just had such a heart melting moment with Elsa, that if she survives this, she has earned a permanent spot here. I've never had a piggy do such a heartmover before, its like she's thanking me for all my hard work 💜

We still aren't eating any food, but we have slowly progressed from syringe feeding critical care to eating it off the spoon 💜

These girls are very very dependent on each other, I'm hoping with my whole heart that they both pull through 🙏🙏🙏

It was a very long night but both girls have survived the night 💜 Both are sitting up this morning instead of laying down on thier sides.. Please stay strong and keep fighting girls🙏

Both girls have been started on Baycox and Septrin for coccidiosis, but my vet is very unsure of their likelihood of survival especially little Frankie.

Both are not eating or drinking on their own, so I'm having to syringe feed them critical care and water every hour, all they want to do is sleep 😢

Little Frankie is supposed to be 8 weeks old but she measures in at only 3weeks of age, meaning she's been left in this condition too long and her chances of survival are minimal but I will do my best to hopefully get her through the night..

It's so so so important to reach out for help whether that be a vet or surrender to a rescue when your piggy is critical because leaving them to suffer for too long decreases their chance of survival unfortunately.

Have just had 2 very sick little girls Elsa & Frankie surrendered, we are off to the vet to do a f***l float, but I'm guessing they are very sick with coccidiosis.. Sadly I don't have much hope for the smallest 1 Frankie as she's been sick for a week already and is very thin. But have to do my best to try ❤️❤️

Rest in Peace Domino.

This sweet boy had been battling with dental disease and constant abceses since October, he had gone through 4 dental procedures, rounds and rounds of antibiotics but nothing improved 💔

His last dental was just before Christmas and sadly he had declined since having his last dental, we were giving him til Saturday to see if he improved and if he didn't my vet and I were going to discuss euthanasia.. Sadly he passed away himself not long ago, and leaves behind 2 cage mates Pongo & Scruffball who are already fretting for him 😢

You will always be remembered sweet Domino, may you now be free from pain over the rainbow bridge 💔

Smudge & Biscuit have been adopted to their new forever home 💙💙

Smudge remained here for ages because of the fact he is a roan guinea pig and I had to ensure I found a family that would never use him for breeding.. For those who don't know breeding roan guinea pigs is a risk factor of them producing lethal white guinea pigs. I'm confident with the family that I'm allowing to adopt these boys that there will be no breeding.

They also only live 10mins away so if they need any assistance with the boys I'm always here 💙

Henry has gone off to foster care to be friends with Coco aka Baby Yoday. Coco used to live here with Bolt until he was adopted to be friends with a gorgeous piggy named Harry who recently passed away..

Poor sweetheart Snow absolutely hates being forced to have medication, so always wants a cuddle afterwards 💜 Unfortunately she will be on enalapril for the rest of her life to help manage her kidney disease, she is also on calcium twice a week and I've added on Vitamin C supplements..

This is the side of satin syndrome that Show Breeders never talk about, they don't prewarn petshops or families of all the possible risk factors that affect the lives of these beautiful babies.. I think it's extremely shameful that show breeders know the risks but will never admit to it, nor do they ever take any credit for being responsible for breeding so many satins.

I know satins are absolutely beautiful to look at but how is it fair for show breeders and backyard breeders to keep on breeding such compromised guinea pigs, some have their lives cut so short and they experience so much pain when they didn't ask to be born.... Just breaks my heart when families fall for satin guinea pigs without being given any education whatsoever about all the things that can sadly go wrong 💔

This little bubba from the auction was absolutely terrified of me touching him and would scream in terror.. Look at him now, he loves a cuddle and a chat to me 💙

He's such a beautiful little boy, moments like this always brings a smile to my face 💖

Phoenix showing the world that he's unstoppable 💙 I'm so happy with his progress so far, no more scratching and he's now fully alert in his eyes. He also lovessss food but still enjoying being supplemented with critical care feeds 😋

How cute is little Milly, she's slowly learning to trust me 💜

Poppy still loves to sneak in a critical care feed when the opportunity presents itself 🤣🤣🤣 She was handraised by me from the age of 5 days old, so hasn't forgotten ❤️

Shelly is getting closer to the day I will have to set her free, her quality of life is sadly getting more and more poorly.. She's now at the stage where she has to have her genital area cleaned daily by me as she no longer grooms herself, she's on antibiotics for reoccurring uti issues and daily pain medication but the only thing she is able to do herself is eat and drink and moving around a small section of a cage.. My son grew her a special grass pot as a treat for this afternoon to enjoy after her antibiotics, pain meds and cleanup 🥰

Taking things slow with Snowie, we started with his ivermectin treatment for mites, lice & internal parasites and treated his wounds, we finished up with some gentle patting 💗
