Hey everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to apologize for missing calls and messages today. I'm currently battling some health challenges, which have made it a bit tough to stay connected.
Here are some happy little faces I wanted to share.
Happy Monday ✌️💛✨️
By extending a helping hand to those in need, we not only elevate their hopes but also deepen our own humanity. Being thankful for the chance to support others highlights that kindness is a treasure that grows when shared generously.
✌️💛✨️
This month has been a flurry of activities. My daily life has been filled with the responsibilities of caring for our feathered friends and other wildlife in need.
From dawn until dusk, my agenda is packed with the dedication to ensure that every animal receives proper nutrition, medical care, and a clean environment to thrive. While these tasks can be exhausting, it's the connections I make with these animals that truly motivate me to persevere.
Each day brings a new influx of animals, and I never know what challenges await. My daily routine can become quite chaotic with intakes, releases, answering calls, coordinating transport, and maintaining the health of so many creatures. Please understand if I sometimes cannot respond to messages.
I’ve found that taking a few moments to simply watch them interact and play serves as a beautiful reminder of life’s simple pleasures. It’s these small, cherished moments that help me get through the busyness of my days.
As I continue on this path of caring for these remarkable beings, I humbly seek your support. Those who know me understand that asking for help is not easy for me. Donations are vital for our sustainability, allowing us to provide food, medical care, and a safe environment for all the animals in our care. Every contribution, no matter how small, significantly impacts our efforts and enables me to keep delivering essential care.
We are always in need of:
Food:
- Lorikeet mix
- Neocare
- Wildbird seed
- Fruits and vegetables (no citrus)
- Chicken hearts
- Native foliage
Other Supplies:
- Puppy pee pads
- Newspaper
- Baby wipes
Thank you all for your support.
✌️💛✨️
Happy Sunday, everyone!
I hope you're all having a wonderful day. I wanted to take a moment to reach out and provide an update since I’ve received numerous inquiries about my current situation. I appreciate your concern and support during this time, so here's a comprehensive overview to address all your questions:
First and foremost, yes, I am still dedicated to caring for wildlife. I currently have a significant number of animals in care, and more are arriving every day. The commitment to their well-being remains a priority for me.
However, I need to clarify that I am not handling collections at this moment. Due to some changes in my personal circumstances, I will be scaling back my availability. For now, I can only accept animals that can be delivered directly to me.
On a positive note, I will still be coordinating collections from veterinary clinics, so if you have any concerns about wildlife in need, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
For communications, I will be available by phone from 6 AM to 6 PM. Please note that I will not be reachable by phone on Fridays. I recommend contacting me directly via phone since my Facebook messages seem to be experiencing delays.
Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has offered to volunteer this wildlife season. I won’t be taking on any new volunteers at this time, but I appreciate your kindness and willingness to help. Opportunities to volunteer will evolve throughout the year, and I will make sure to keep you all updated.
Thank you for your understanding and support. Together, we can continue to make a difference for our wildlife!
As I officially sign off from this year's wildlife journey, I can't help but reflect on what an incredible and massive year it has been!
I’m proud to share that, with the help of some amazing carers, I have rescued and rehabilitated thousands of animals. One of the most challenging moments came during the worst LPS season to date in February. Thanks to the support of our community, we managed to rescue over 1,000 lorikeets during that difficult time.
Throughout this journey, I've had the immense privilege of meeting so many wonderful people and forming friendships and collaborations with dedicated carers, vets and businesses.
I want to give a special shoutout to Gillian The Naked Vet , whose expert guidance, equipment, and assistance with essential medications and supplies have been invaluable. Your friendship has made this journey even more rewarding.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the amazing carers I've had the opportunity to work alongside, as well as to everyone who has donated, volunteered, spread the word, and offered their support. What an amazing community we have built together!
As the year comes to a close, I want to acknowledge that I am still receiving many phone calls and messages daily. While I would love to help each and every one of you, at this time, it’s simply impossible.
Please note: I am not having a break, i still will be caring for the overwhelming number of animals currently in my care. I will not be reachable via the page until January 1st. But don’t worry! Before you know it, the new year will be upon us, and you’ll start seeing me everywhere again.
Thank you all for being a part of this journey. Here’s to an even more impactful year ahead! 🦜💚
Why put up a traditional Christmas tree when you can create a vibrant bird tree filled with colorful parrots instead? 🎄🦜
To me, the love and joy they bring far outweigh traditional decorations. Here’s to a festive season filled with color, laughter, and the delightful chatter of our avian companions! 🦜💚✨
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated today! Your generosity will make such a significant difference to all the animals in our care.
We’ve recently received several cases that require complex, long-term care due to injuries. Unfortunately, some of these animals have been brought in by well-meaning members of the public who kept them for days or weeks, feeding them the wrong foods and failing to address their injuries. This has caused them significant and unnecessary suffering.
Your support helps us provide the necessary medical attention and care these animals desperately need. Thank you for standing with us and making a positive impact on their lives!
A Heart Shattered: Remembering My Beloved Bird, Ghost
Today, my heart feels as though it has shattered into a thousand pieces as I mourn the very unexpected loss of my dear bird, Ghost. He was not just a pet; he was my best friend, my cherished companion, and a source of endless joy in my life. From the moment we met, he filled my days with laughter and love, greeting me with his cheerful song every morning and bidding me goodnight with his gentle chirps.
Ghost was a bundle of quirks and personality. We would spend countless hours together, dancing to our favorite tunes, his little body swaying in rhythm as if he understood the music’s magic. His playful antics brought light into my life, turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories.
As someone deeply immersed in wildlife rescue, I have encountered loss more times than I can count. While I strive to remain strong for the animals I care for, nothing can truly prepare you for the heartache that comes with losing something so precious. Ghost was a part of my soul, and his absence leaves a void that feels insurmountable.
Today, I honor his memory and the joy he brought into my life. I will cherish the moments we shared and hold onto the lessons he taught me about love, companionship, and the beauty of life itself. Thank you, Ghost, for being my first hello in the morning and my last goodnight at night. You are a equivalent of my child and were suppost to be my forever. I dont know how to face tomorrow without you. You will always hold a special place in my heart. 🕊️💔

All these baby swallows came into my care with their eyes still shut. After just five days, they've transformed remarkably. It’s incredibly fulfilling to witness their growth.
As October comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the challenges of the past month. It wasn’t the easiest of times; October really tested my limitations, and I must admit, I fell flat on my face a few times. But isn’t that just part of the journey? I’m hopeful that I can leave this bad luck streak behind me and embrace a kinder November ahead.
November brings with it a fresh start, and for me, it also marks the official beginning of LPS season for the lorikeets 😓. Please keep your eyes peeled. Here’s to new beginnings, brighter skies, and hopefully a bit more luck on my side. Cheers to November! 🌼✨
