🐴 Come along for a little ride as I talk about softness and how I like my breakers to feel before heading home 🐴

Notice how there’s no arguments or anxiety when being asked to slow, bend, stop, bend, turn etc all done in a willing soft manner.

This guys had 20 odd rides in the arena and 4/5 out side on trails etc (6 week program)

Not all horses go home with this level of ability, though my program definitely allows them to feel like this if they are physically and mentally ready for it.

9 yo gelding (gelded 3 months ago)going through the program here in flying colours, drawing from lessons I’ve learnt starting older horses I knew to just sit back and go with this fella, brush over his early attempts of attitude and stubbornness with re assurance of positivity.

We avoided alot of arguments early on and it’s paid off with now having a happy confident horse. Over the next couple weeks I’ll have to open up the pressure switch to see if we have any issues but he truely has come a long way in the space of 2 weeks.

I’ve been away the last 4 weeks breaking in some horses and they have a surplus so they have decided to sell Poncho, Bill and Annie.

Annie is a 3yo Filly

Sire goes back to an Acres Destiny C**t
Dam is an old stock horse type

Annie was a clean slate, never handled till 4 weeks ago and she’s given us everything.

We have done more miles in the hills then flat work as you can see in the video shes still finding her feet. Put her in the hills or behind cattle she will out walk most horses she wants to work, point him anywhere and he will go.

Lovely soft and willing mare who has been with current owner her entire life.

Professionally broken and had some lite training with a cutting/ campdraft trainer.

Cooler has since spent many hours under saddle at clinics, small shows, lessons, musters and trail rides.

She has proven to have no nasties after a spell coming to us after not being ridden for 2+ years and being good to just saddle up and go from day 1.

Cooler is every woman’s dream - she loves to be loved! Will do well as a cowhorse/ campdrafter, all round pleasure pony or even broodmare.

Looking for a loving new family to move onto as current owner unfortunately just hadn’t had the chance since Covid to get back into horses.

Great to catch, rug, saddle, tie up, float, worm, ride out alone etc. Has just had her teeth and feet done and was great for that too.

NIL scarring or marks, however, vet checks are still more than welcome.

Going beautifully under saddle, very responsive to you leg aids + seat, carries himself nicely and wants to please.

Has spent time up north mustering this year and took everything in his stride.

Had a lot of exposure to the trails, different arenas, roads, trucks, different properties.

Not fussed with dogs running around.

Had been ridden out alone and with company.

Safe mount with good work ethic

Please note he can be a nervous horse in new surroundings and is “looky”. Therefore, would be suited to a confident and patient rider - however shows no malice or dirt.

Good to float, trim, hose, tie up. Up to date with dentist, farrier, worming.

Thanks to Mr Shane Kraut from K4 Equine! He was able to make me this h**p braided loping hackamore.

Its a great tool for starting all these young horses. All ground work is done in a halter, so the allows a smooth transition from halter to hackamore to then the final product of a bit.
