Our “Counselling with Horses” is suited to all ages due to our flexible approach to meet individuals needs. You might be feeling lost, have been through some trying times, heartbreak, divorce, family issues or being bullied at school or work, needing more self confidence.

Do you have a desire to try something different to the more classical forms of counselling?

We explore how our emotions and energies can affect ourselves and others through Equine Assisted Therapy. Whilst learning horse husbandry and natural horsemanship and herd dynamics plus an array of other therapy techniques and processes to help you heal and move forwards in your life in a positive way.

No horse experience is necessary. All on ground if preferred or riding incorporated on request.

🐎So we have some exciting news! 🐎

In the next week or two we will have Miss Pepper joining the herd here at Aplus Assist.
Miss Pepper is a 13 hand Pony that will be perfect for the kids that are too big to ride Annie but just a bit too small for Angel or Trooper!!!
We are very happy and lucky to be taking Pepper on I’m absolutely sure the kids are going to love her!

A person (child or adult) can only be helped in their struggles if they are ready. When it comes to children in therapy the parent needs to be ready too. The attachment between parent and child is so strong if one is not ready it can be hard to get that balance and therefore make it harder to help the child. Our approach is to be there for both parents and their children when they come to join our programs from day one.

We will wait for you, we value patients, compassion, understanding of all circumstances so won’t push you or be in front. We will always walk beside you. Same goes for our equine partners. Horses have such high intuition they can read our body language so quickly and feel our energy from many metres away so much so they are a true and accurate mirror of our emotions. This is where the learning journey begins in Equine Assisted Therapy.

APlus Assist Counselling
We are now available to offer therapy online via ZOOM sessions for anyone willing to make changes in their life, work through personal issues or challenges they're facing in day to day life. Now this could be as part of your Equine Therapy package for the days you can't make it or if horses aren't of interest to you I want you to know I can offer 'talk therapy' with my Counselling skills set. If no access to ZOOM, it can be just over the phone or come meet me in person and sit in our cosy office or come for "walk & talk therapy" out in nature. I'm very adaptable and flexible to meet your needs.

This could range from any of the following:
Anxiety, depression, trauma including PTSD, postpartum depression, relationship counselling, ADHD, and any challenges that arise. I am Autistic and have ADHD so have lived experience in neuro-diversity and how to build resilience over time. Majority of my clients are NDIS participants so I am able to offer complete empathy and compassion plus lived experience of understanding in this sector. Adding my experience and education in being a qualified and ACA accredited Counsellor I can deliver with confidence and offer guidance that is truly helpful for my clients to prosper further on their life journey.
