For those of us who are breeders its not always an easy journey. Brown sugar decided to whelp her puppies 7 days early. I fed her at 5pm and she ate everything, as usual. I went down at 6.30pm to check the aircon and much to my surpize she was licking a new born puppy. Frantically checking my dates to make sure I hadnt made a mistake confimred my dates were correct. I had a feeling something wasnt right and this followed an emergency c-section finishing at midnight. Four very, very tiny puppies came home..the smallest I have every had. One was only 250grams! And so its a been a week of 24/7 two hourly feeds, humidicribs in between, holding the smallest one onto the ni**le so he doesnt fall off or get pushed aside but we have all made it through the first week. Puppies probably better than me! All are putting on weight but we are not out of the woods yet. Another week to go and then hopefull they can feed by themselves. 3 boys and one girl.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we are helping an owner to rehome a Labrador. He is 9 years of age, desexed and absolutely no health problems .. comes with vet clearance. He is very fit. House trained, obedience training and seriously one of the gentlest dogs. Absolutely perfect with kids. He is great with other dogs as well. He would be perfectly happy in a family environment or as living by himself as a companion.
He can only go to a home where he can come inside and excercised regularly. He's staying with me until we can find the right home.
Thankyou.. he has found a very loving home.💕

We have breeding the beautiful labrador breed for over 20 years. Our hearts still melt when our puppies get to this such a cute age of 6-8 weeks.❤️❤️❤️

One of the most rewarding parts of being a breeder for me, and I guess it has to do with over 20 years of doing so, is the number of owners who come back for another puppy. I also seem to have a significant number of vets as owners and to date four of them have come back for another puppy.

Just last week we got this lovely request from another vet:
"We bought a male chocolate Labrador from you in December 2017. He is a joy to own – we call him the perfect dog ! One of the loveliest temperaments I have ever known . We would love to get a female from you while he is still active & young enough to enjoy playing with her".

According to my Dogs Queensland Registration this week marks 20 years as a registered breeder.
What fun I've had and bred so many beautiful puppies and met so many wonderful owners for my puppies. I still get updates from owners regularly, often with those whose dog has made their 16 year birthday.
I, and Sibelius, are planning on retiring soon so just a couple more litters.

We have a new home. Thankyou everyone for all your messages. She is going to a home where she will be well loved and will have a brother who is sired by Sibelius as well.
Help....I need a name and a home. I'm the only little girl in this litter . My mum is Thornton Park Brown Sugar and my dad is Lacote Radagost.. so pretty special genetics. I have the sweetest and most gentle nature.
