My beautiful girl Ronvale Shantilly-lace aka Tilly has made it to 21 today, I honestly didn't think it would happen, with wobblers, cushings and way to many thunder storm related injuries I thought she would be gone by now. But here we are, Tilly was my 21st birthday present and has been apart of my life now for 20 years (I know I don't look nearly 41) she come into my life at the right time and it's still the right time πŸ₯°
Happy 21st Tilly

What an amazing way to end the 2024 endurance season at Mia Mia with Chelsea Gibson getting for first 40km completion on the beautiful Aka in 3 hours 43 minutes. Thanks Kerrie for letting Chelsea ride him, he has taught her so much.
Also Thanks to Team Bronson, (Daniel and Donna Watt), Ashleigh and Donna N for looking after Chelsea on track and to Martin, Charlie and Drew for helping Chelsea getting through strapping and the vet ring after a hot ride, she finally got that completion she has wanted for so long.
This young lady loves endurance so much and everyone has been so supportive of her ❀️
She will be on the hunt for her 2nd 40 at first ride of 2025, then on to the 80's πŸ₯³
The last pic shows how proud she is of her self

While I'm on call we need to get out early, Chelsea was all saddled up and on Aka by 6:30am and clicked out 10.5 in 51 minutes. Out of the 4 of us I was the only not passing vetting πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ it was hard work on the deadly treadly 🚲

Smythesdale Endurance Rider is done and dusted. We absolutely loved the tracks, it was great under foot and stunning bush setting.
Libby vetted through πŸ₯° but unfortunately Aka went out on heart rate 😭 he is fine we just need to come in slower.
Thank you to the RO's, TPR's, Vets and volunteers the rides don't run without you.

⚠️ Warning on Pictures ⚠️

Miss Bonnie has had a rough few weeks she had a sore on her nose but after close inspection we found a lump in her nostril.
A call the Gippsland Veterinary Group - Equine to get Dr Mike out to work out what was wrong. I had my suspicions. After a ultrasound on her nose, it revealed a mass πŸ˜”
So we decided to have both cut out as Bonnie isn't the best patient.
Bonnie was on a strong antibiotics and pain relief for 10 days, but 5 days after the antibiotics stopped she developed an infection. During this time we got her results and my suspicions were right she had 2 mast cell tumours πŸ˜” but on a good note both with clear margins. Now we just need to monitor her for more lumps.
Thanks Dr Mike for being so patient with the world's worst patient.

Part 1.
Toongabbie ride done and we got through with great heart rates and all A's and 1's. We only did 20km but we didn't have much training time before hand due to my trip away and horrible storms lately.
Thanks to the RO, Vets, TPRs, CS and all the volunteers we can't go to rides without you.

Yesterday we headed off to Toongabbie, for Chelsea to have a crack at her first 40km. But unfortunately it wasn't to be our weekend. We started off great both vetting through pre ride. We went to bed early to be out on track at 7am. Unfortunately it rained all night so the track was slippery and Aka spooked and slipped and in an effort to stay on a wrapped my long legs around him and did my calve πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ I had to call for the float. But in true endurance spirit Chelsea kept on going, she walked away from us with no other horses around to have a go. Unfortunately Libby didn't like being without Aka so after walking Libby for 2.5 hours and walking through the creek she called the float too. I don't think there is many 14 years old that would have kept going on their own. I'm so proud of you Chelsea.
