🌟 Becoming the Best I Can Be for the Animals 🌟

After having meaningful conversations with ALL our amazing local vets, I’ve discovered a critical need for an after-hours pet ambulance service to transport our beloved animals to emergency clinics when they need it most.

With my background as an RSPCA Animal Emergency Ambulance Officer, RSPCA Inspector and starting my career as a junior Vet Nurse 25 years ago, I’ve decided it’s time to step up.

I’m back in study mode, learning the latest in critical care to ensure I can provide the highest level of support to pets in urgent situations.

🐾 A HUGE shoutout to Vetlove Goonellabah for offering me a placement to complete this vital training. I can’t wait to bring this much-needed service to our community.

Okay, so this job involves picking up a lot of poo!

I go through shoes regularly, walking many kilometres a week and it also involves getting pretty wet when it's raining.

BUT, why would I want to do anything else when I get to see happy faces just like Pebbles every day!

I sit here eating a box of chocolates, reading a very touching heartfelt card, while a beautiful handmade personalised candle burns.

It fills the air with the most amazing aroma, as I reflect back on the week that was, caring for these gorgeous souls.

Thank you to their very loving mum for entrusting me with the care of your precious darlings again and for the very unexpected and thoughtful gifts.

Caring for your darlings is my absolute honour and the greatest gift you could give me. I love them very much!

How truly beautiful these two and their mum are.

It’s sad to share this news, but there have been cases of Parvo in our area.
A friendly reminder to follow the vet advice below and speak to your vet ASAP if your pet is currently not up to date with their vaccinations.

⚠️⚠️ POSITIVE PARVOVIRUS CASES ⚠️⚠️
We are devastated to let you know that the Lismore local area have had dogs testing positive for Parvovirus this past couple of weeks 😭
While we don't want to cause a panic, they were within half hour of the clinic & it is extremely important that you check that your dogs vaccinations are absolutely CURRENT!

NEW PUPPY OWNERS WITH NOT FULLY COMPLETED VACCINATION SCHEDULES (3 x vaccinations required one month apart) SHOULD NOT BE MIXING WITH UNVACCINATED DOGS & AVOIDING DOG PARKS UNTIL VACCINATIONS ARE COMPLETED!

Please know that our isolation procedures are of the highest safety with no contaminated persons or equipment etc leaving this completely separated from the building area & extra, extra thorough cleaning means that we are still able to provide a safe environment to our patients coming through the front door 🐶🐾

Yet another fully preventable, devastatingly painful condition still in existence 😔😭

Meet Niki, our new, super experienced administration extroudinaire, brilliant & incredible Tess, our marketing and website guru and lastly, Katie and Luis, our caring, experienced pet sitters and dog walking adventure experts.

We all came together last week for a two day training 🧐👨‍🎓👩‍🎓session on our new system. We are making it super easy for our wonderful clients to get in contact with us and book; with just the click of the mouse. 💻🐭😍
