We had Mr Bailey come visit us today! We are very happy and proud of his progress, he is doing so well. Bailey has been diagnosed with GOLPP - Geriatric Onset Laryngeal Paralysis Polyneuropathy, and it's predominantly affecting the strength and function of his hind legs. We have carefully monitored him in the water and he is doing great!
He is such a happy talkative boy! π
We are excited to announce we have just installed a Zebris canine gait analysis treadmill! One of only 3 in the country and the first of its kind in Victoria. This treadmill gives us instant feedback on your dogs gait and stance that is able to be generated into a visual report for the client. Even though our therapists are trained to visually assess gait, this takes the human element out of the equation and allows rapid identification of gait anomalies. Pretty cool!
Before she started with us, no stamina, hunched in her shoulders and difficulty looking up.
Can you spot the lameness?

And now.... more comfortable in her hind legs and getting some nice extension in her front legs. She is also a lot stronger.π
When she started, very stiff in her hind legs, restricted in her left front leg and just not wanting to walk forward...
