Hooves Feathers and Claws is closing down permanently. Please do not ask for help rehoming an animal as you will be turned away.

There are several Coffs rescue that may be able to help but I can't recommend the Coffs Harbour RSPCA more. The staff there is lovely and are dedicated to the animals in their care.

I have been working recently with a few Coffs locals who have gifted their time to help reduce the number of rescue animals over the last few months, as well as assisting to clean up and maintain the property at Lowanna. A massive thank you to these truly amazing people.

I have surrendered a number of rescue animals to the RSPCA so I can concentrate on my own animals and complete yard maintenance to ensure the animals are safe, healthy and secure.

I am extremely distressed that member/s of this vigilante group would intentionally put animals in a position where they could be harmed or stressed. If anyone has any information about these incidences please contact the Coffs Harbour police.

No further comments will be made due to ongoing investigations.

The chillest puppy award goes to our little mastiff/ridgeback/staffy mix. At only 12 weeks old she certainly has mastered being floppy! And she absolutely loves her cuddles!

CAN YOU HELP ME GET THE DENTAL WORK I DESPERATELY NEED!

This beautiful boy has had a big day having his infected canine removed and the rest of his teeth cleaned up. His on antibiotics for 10 days to ensure his mouth heals without complications and any infection is removed. Once we are certain this guy is back in full health he will be ready for his forever home, hopefully right in time for Christmas.

This boy is 11 years old and needs a special home who can give him special love and care. We are almost certain he is blind and very close to being deaf (he can still hear loud noises). He needs a quiet home where he will be slowly introduced to the house one small area at a time so he can learn his way around. He is the sweetest older gentleman and we instantly fell for his charm .

He loves his roast chicken and would be very happy in a home where he will be spoilt with endless chicken.

His a very affectionate boy who loves a pat and is easy to pick up and handle.

We are looking at a $500 bill for his dental work alone and at a time of year when funds are already tight and we have more animals needing help than ever. Donations can be made to

Thank you guys! $255/$450 raised so far!

WE NEED YOUR HELP

These beautiful babies are coming into care next week. They have been clinging to hope in the Rockhampton pound for approximately a month now waiting for someone to help them. Monday evening the pound had to make the heart breaking decision to add these guys to the euthanasia list for Tuesday morning. Which is where we stepped in to help save their lives. Now we need to get them here! They are booked on transport for Wednesday and will be picked up from the Rockhampton pound Wednesday afternoon before heading to Bundeburg for the night and then to Brisbane on Thursday were we will be meeting the transport to pick them up and bring them back into our care. It's a long trip for these beauties but it's saved their life.

But it's an expensive trip to get them here and without your support we cannot continue to help these guys. If you can make a donation to assist with getting these guys down to us it's greatly appreciated.

We will post the transport invoice once it's received to prove your donations are going where you intend them to. Every dollar counts and no amount is too small.

Nytro has finally found his forever home!

After coming into care at the end of January 2022 Nytro has been looking for his forever home since. Nytro spent significantly longer in care then any other dog we've ever had. Waiting patiently for 11 months before finding the perfect family to love him.

When I say this is the hardest adoption I've ever done! While it's often sad to have an animal go after caring for them for a number of weeks or months this is by far the hardest time I've had following an adoption. Many tears have been shed but in the end this is all we ever wanted for Nytro and everything he deserved. A forever home with a loving family! We love you Nytro and will continue to miss you for sometime but know you will have a better life because of it.
