Horses out, horses in, handovers, lessons, new paddock & retic upgrades (huge thanks to hubby and Dad 🫶🏼🙌🏻) and resident riding. PLUS - squished in the 5k FoamFest on Saturday for fun with some fabulous friends. It’s been a week! 🥱🥱🥱

Lots of OTTB goodness over the last week with gorgeous ASH Halo 😇 🩶rounding out the crew. Kelti Park Sidetrack is really finding his groove, first visits for lovely Ivy, and Tex and his owner Bron making great progress as a team. Gumby the OTTSB tackling the trot poles again, and Kelti Park Unplanned had his first canters and an introduction to the cavalletti and coloured sticks.

📢 Business announcement 📢

Good morning! Kelti Park is now headed into its 6th year of operation 🙌🏻During this time, I have not had a price rise for any of my services.

Through the challenges of COVID, last years hay shortage, and huge hikes in business insurance costs I have somehow managed to keep my pricing the same 😳

Unfortunately with constant economic changes and business growth, I now need to increase my prices.

From 1st January 2025:
Private ridden lessons at KP will be $70.00.
Starting under saddle POA (booked out for 2025 - wait list available in event of cancellation)
Education/boot camp POA (wait list available)
Campaigning available on request - POA.
Happy to discuss any other services as required - simply send me a message 😉

10 days in and first off property outing this morning for lovely OTTB Oreo, and what a star he was! Working amongst other horses can be quite overwhelming for the OTT horses, but Oreo proved how sensible and willing he was this morning 🙏 As always working on that rhythm and relaxation, this gelding is really coming to the party early with his new career skills 🤩

Back to it! Making the most of this beautiful cooler weather 🙏 OTTB Oreo (KP Sidetrack) has made a stellar start to his new career, proving his trainability early with his transition from racehorse to future eventer. I had my first sit on new resident KP Unplanned and everything actually went to plan - always a bonus with a young horse 🙊 Resident Auzzie still ticking away, and at last we may have found a jump saddle for us. Beautiful Tex and his Mum had a lesson and looking the business 🤩

Another big week down and spending some quality time to getting to know my couch today for a bit 🫶🏼A little bit of help and ground support for Nat and Gumby to get them back on track. Tegan looking fab and getting the ‘feel’ with her beautiful girl Bam. My fave youngest bestie Lilly bought her new boy over this morning for the beginning of their new journey together. Her first ride on her gorgeous OTT Oreo and I think she was a very happy girl 😍 Tex continues to make great progress and I’m thrilled with how he is coming along - a fantastic session this morning put a big smile on my face 🥰 Resident Auzzo starting to do some quality work in his canter now.

Beautiful Tex is just getting better and better ❤️ Really finding his rhythm and balance, but best of all a whole new level of relaxation 🙌🏻 I so look forward to my sessions with him, just giving me more of those feelings each ride 🥰 I CANNOT wait for his owner to get back from her trip and test out the new skills 🙊

Tex had his first competition experience today, attending the 2024 Standardbred & Thoroughbred Dressage Championships. It was a big ask for him, having no previous competition experience but could not be happier with how he finished the day 🙏 Despite being very overwhelmed, and holding a lot of tension (as expected) he kept himself together for a third and a fourth place in his two tests, with some really lovely comments for a bright future from the respective judges 🙌🏻 You have to start somewhere with these guys! I’m very grateful for the opportunity to get Tex out and about on behalf of his owner 🫶🏼 We had a few “interesting “ moments, but the good outweighed the not so good today! The very first time out in a competition atmosphere, is likely the worst you will get - so it’s onwards and upwards from here for this beautiful boy, and on with the journey ❤️ a HUGE thankyou to my biggest supporter, friend and strapper Lilly for all you do for me 🥰

Boston Rob made his show ring debut today 💙 A total pleasure to prep, and was an absolute delight to handle through his classes for his owner Tiarne. A little sit later this arvo to test out his newly acquired under saddle skills - I think Tiarne’s smile says it all 🥰 I am absolutely thrilled for them both, a beautiful combination and so excited for their future adventures together. It’s truly a beautiful thing when you realise a new horse and their new human just ‘click’ 🫶🏼

Bam has had some past trauma with floating, not too keen on a straight load float and previously taking anything up to an hour to load. Whilst she has been at Kelti Park for a short ridden boot camp, I’ve taken the time to build her confidence in getting on the float. Super proud of this mare now confidently self loading, and feeling relaxed in the horse limo 💗
