We once again had the honour of sponsoring and volunteering at this year’s Camden Show. Since 1886, the Camden Show has been an essential part of the rural community, dedicated to celebrating agriculture, local talent, and our heritage in Australia.

For the past two years, our team of Elanco colleagues have contributed their expertise in various roles, including horse stewarding, showjumping, managing the plants, arts and crafts pavilion, stewarding for the sheep and cattle sections, coordinating the show dogs and working dogs arena and helping both pre-and post-show. In particular, we are very grateful for Kim Baker, our Director of Study Management at Yarrandoo, who is an integral part of the Camden Show experience for Elanco and its visitors and is the reason our attendance and involvement in this event is possible.

Volunteering at the Camden Show holds significant meaning for Elanco. It allows us to support our rural communities, engage directly with our customers and consumers, and connect with the animals that benefit from our products.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year’s show such a valued experience. We look forward to doing it all again next year!

🐑🌍 New Zealand Sheep Study Tour 🌍🐑

In February, Patrick Dooley and Will King from the Farm Animal Business took 15 retail customers from all over Australia to the South Island in New Zealand on a farm study tour. This trip was based on a sales incentive for our retail customers to support our pour-on lousicide products, specifically Viper and Extinosad.

The week consisted of 4 farm visits across the South Island, a visit to the Antarctic Centre in Christchurch and a lunch at Kinross Winery. The trip was capped off with some adrenaline seeking activities with jet boating and off-road car rally car driving in Queenstown.

The feedback from our customers was outstanding and it was certainly a trip of a lifetime!

Elanco was a proud sponsor of the 41st Annual Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA) Conference in Darwin last month! It was an incredible opportunity to connect with pastoralists, industry experts, and government representatives over the two action-packed days.

A huge congratulations to the NTCA for hosting their largest event to date – a true testament to their dedication in uniting the industry to network, discuss, and tackle the key challenges facing the Northern Territory cattle industry.

“Harmony” 2023 by Annie Roberts (Waralungku Arts, Borroloola) now features in our Macquarie Park office.

This piece represents different groups coming together in a meeting place to exchange information through different communication methods.

“Harmony” was selected from a shortlist of works following discussions by the ANZ IDEA Group with the intention of highlighting the importance of fostering connection and communication among the many different groups working together at Elanco, and signifying our newly refurbished office as a space to facilitate these connections.

Introducing Zolvix Plus for Cattle!

Zolvix Plus is a unique drench that delivers the power of monepantel in combination with abamectin.

With increasing resistance to older drench classes used in cattle, including the benzimidazole, levamisole and macrocyclic lactone chemical families, the availability of a new drench class is much needed.

Monepantel is a member of the amino-acetonitrile derivative (AAD or ‘orange’) family of anthelmintics, the first new drench class to be registered for the broad-spectrum control of worms in cattle in Australia in nearly 40 years.

🐔🐓 AVPA Wagga Wagga 2025 🐓🐔

Last month, Elanco attended the 2025 AVPA Conference in Wagga Wagga. Elanco was expertly represented by Lyn Fisher, Food Safety and Premix Technical Sales Manager, ANZ, and Rob Pottie, Director of Regulatory Affairs, ANZ, who participated in industry discussions on emerging challenges and solutions in poultry management.

Lyn and Rob reflected on a highlight of the event, with the panel discussion on the future of Salmonella control in Australia that featured representatives from key industry players, including Nicholas Phuah, Technical Vaccine Lead for Elanco APAC. The session explored innovative solutions to future-proof the industry against Salmonella Enteritidis (SE) outbreaks.

The broader conference featured an array of technical presentations and discussions on critical topics such as high-pathogenicity avian influenza, enteric health, antimicrobial resistance, and advancements in poultry disease management.

We were proud to co-sponsor the conference dinner, taking the opportunity to network and collaborate with veterinarians, researchers and other industry professionals. The event reinforced Elanco’s commitment to leading the charge in animal health innovation, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring a resilient future for the Australian poultry industry.

At Elanco ANZ, we believe a diverse and inclusive workplace is crucial for innovation and growth. In 2024, we focused on fostering a culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered. Here's a quick recap of some of the key ANZ IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) initiatives from 2024:

• Education and Awareness: We hosted workshops on unconscious bias and allyship, and marked key days like International Women's Day and Pride Month with engaging activities.

• Celebrating Cultures: We proudly celebrated the diversity of our team with events and educational resources during International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, Māori Week, and Multicultural Connect Week.

Thanks to our ANZ IDEA Employee Resource Group, we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating Diwali (Deepavali), the Hindu festival of lights, with the team at our office.

Our celebration was hosted by Sri Path, Sheila Rajeevan, and Rupali Janbandhu, who brought delicious treats and shared with us some of their family traditions of celebrating this holiday, along with an insightful session about Diwali’s significance.

The event highlights a lot that we try to embody at Elanco through light and positivity, knowledge and education, giving and togetherness.

What an eventful few weeks we have had attending our retail partner conferences!

At the Petstock Group conference, we were proud to be a Diamond partner, where we enjoyed connecting, learning, and celebrating with a company that shares our values: Pets. People. Planet. We always strive to make our presence at conferences meaningful for attendees, so we were delighted to win the best trade stand award for the event.

We were also honoured to be part of the Greencross Pet Wellness symposium and leadership conference as a Platinum Sponsor. The theme, “More to love”, provided valuable insights into the future and strategic vision of our industry. The symposium brought together over 1,500 vets, nurses, practice managers, store managers, and support teams from across Australia.

We valued the opportunity to connect with such engaged teams and were energised by our shared vision for the future of pet care.

We are so proud of our vibrant Elanco Key Accounts and Sales teams who did an amazing job of preparing for and representing Elanco at each event. Congratulations to Brooke Baker for representing Elanco at this year’s Equimillion event.

Equimillion is an equestrian event that celebrates the versatility of retired Thoroughbred racehorses, which aligns perfectly with Elanco’s commitment to animal health and welfare.

As a dedicated team member for the past six years, Brooke had the honour of showcasing her skills and passion at this prestigious show.

Brooke and her horse, Highness (otherwise known as Daisy) had a great weekend, placing 4th in the two-phase show jumping competition and achieving strong results in dressage.

Daisy, who joined Brooke’s family in 2021, has transformed from an off-the-track Thoroughbred into a competitive performance horse. This journey highlights the importance of quality care, nutrition, and health management—core values to Elanco and our products, that have been vital in maintaining Daisy's parasite management and overall performance, helping her compete at her best.

We are very proud of Brooke and her accomplishments and are honoured to have been represented by Brooke at Equimillion.

Our teams in Australia and New Zealand have been making a significant impact in their local communities as part of Elanco's Global Day of Purpose. This month-long initiative in October provides employees with a dedicated workday to give back to the communities around them. Here’s a glimpse of what our amazing teams have been up to so far:

• Donating blood and plasma to support life-saving treatments – with Elanco AU employee, Kathryn Humphries, completing her 36th donation!
• Packing Christmas hampers with Foodbank, ensuring 720 families in need have a joyful holiday season
• Collecting rubbish along Lake Parramatta, helping to preserve our beautiful local environments
• Volunteering at Monika's Doggie Rescue Pet Shelter, providing care and companionship to rescue dogs
• Supporting Lifeline Australia by volunteering, aiding those in crisis
• Partnering with Auckland Council and Totara Heights Bush Guardians to clear a native reserve of pest species

Our ongoing commitment not only helps preserve and restore our local ecosystems but also brings our teams closer together, enhancing our collective sense of responsibility, teamwork and commitment to Elanco’s meaningful values.
