~ Closure Of Business ~

To Our Valued Customers,

We wish to advise you that after 24 years in business, we are retiring and closing the doors to Thompson Timber Saddlery & Grain.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the loyalty and support you have shown our locally owned and staffed small business over the years.

Our final trading day will be Saturday 5 March 2022. We please ask that all purchases are finalised before this date.

Elders will be holding an auction on site on Saturday 26 March 2022.

We will miss the general banter that has come through our door, and we leave with many good memories. We have met a lot of great people over the years who will be dearly missed.

~ Update ~
TB has found a new stable to call home. He's now in the wonderful care of Elita at Saddleworld Sale if you'd like to go and give him a pat or slip him a carrot (check out the pic in the comments of him all loaded up in the float). Thank you all for spreading the good word 🙏🐴

~ News just in ~
Our display horse, Tobin Bronze, is retiring and for sale. He's a 15hh (approx) fibreglass beast and takes a 6ft rug. TB doesn't bite, kick or require shoeing (but is happy to have a polish every now and again). He shot to fame in 2008 when he headed down the straight at the Maffra Mardi Gras with Brenda on board as Lady Godiva (check out photo #3). Price: $1,100. Pick-up only 🐎

We've been asked a lot lately if we're still open for business (the answer is yes), so we've created this page as another way to connect with our valued customers.

A little bit about us...

We're local people who love our country town, Maffra, and we've been serving the community since 1998.

We're the proud owners of Thompson Timber Saddlery & Grain, operating out of the magnificent building you see here, captured so beautifully by photographer Kirsty Missen Photography.

Our store provides friendly service and advice and offers a range of products including:

- Saddlery

- LP Gas

And yes, we sure do deliver.
