I actually love this part. Packing puppy pack is what I live for. The planning, the lists, the ordering, the organising, the aesthetic.
HAHAHAHA.
I need therapy.
Anyway…..
Our puppy packs are specifically designed to ensure that the first few days away from mum, littermates and me go smoothly. The transition period is very important and we want our puppies to be as stress free as possible 🙂💕

Such brave puppies 💦 ☀️
✨ Did you know puppies need to sleep 18-20 hours a day? ✨
So only expect 4 to 5 hours of being awake and only about an hour at a time.
If they’re kept awake and become overtired they can get very stressed and seem frantic, restless, overly barky or bitey. It might be the case that they're overstimulated too!
It is ideal to have a designated area for your puppy to rest, especially if there is other animals or children in the home.
I personally like to have a pen set up with a crate inside with their bed in the crate. I’ll also have water, a puppy pad and maybe a toy to wind down if they dont settle right away. This helps the puppy to feel safe and sleep well 💕😴
Hope that helps, M.
Ohana Oodle’s Moodle the right dog for you??
What is a Moodle?
A Moodle is a cross breed of a Maltese and Poodle.
Country of origin – Germany (Poodle) and Malta (Maltese)
Breed type – Companion Dog
Why do we cross breed?
Crossbreeding can lead to increased genetic diversity, which results in healthier offspring. It can reduce the risk of inherited diseases that may be prevalent in purebred lines due to the potential for certain genetic issues to be “diluted” or less concentrated in the mixed gene pool.
Moodle’s are considered hypoallergenic breeds due to their low-shedding and minimal dander-producing coats, making them suitable for people with allergies.
Both characteristics traits of the poodle and Maltese create a well-rounded and friendly companion animal.
What are their personalities like?
Moodle’s are known to be intelligent, gentle, playful, kind, laidback and loving. Moodle’s are happy as long as they are with their companions and will seek out their affection. The perfect lap dog in both size and temperament, Moodles make great family pets and are well suited as companions for seniors. They have a relaxed approach to life and can often be found lying in the laps.
Are they easy to train?
Moodle’s are intelligent and people-pleasing, which makes training both easy and fun. With puppy preschool and some socialisation, the Moodle will get along well with other animals, new people, and children.
Do I need to get my moodle groomed?
Yes, they need to be professionally groomed every 4-6 weeks.
Life expectancy- 10-15 years.
Energy level- Low to moderate
How big will they grow? - 3-5kg
Are all Ohana Oodles Moodle parents DNA tested and cleared from Orivet?
Yes! They are tested & cleared for all breed related diseases.
Can I afford a puppy?
Besides the initial cost you also have to consider ongoing costs. Such as:
Grooming $50-$80 every 4-6 weeks.
Food & treats $50-$100 a month.
Worming, flea and tick prevention $20 a month. Plus vaccinations, pet insurance, registration fee, toys, bed, bowls, lead and collar, dog training and so on. There is so much to consider when choosing a dog and cost is a big one.
Who shouldn’t get a Moodle?
People who work long hours and the moodle is home alone for long extended periods of time. Moodle’s like to have their owners around and show signs of separation anxiety when left for long periods of time.
Hope that helps, M.

Scrub a dub dub dub 💦
Why do we start so early?
Simply because the sooner they are exposed to the various sensations, noises, scents and processes of dog grooming, the quicker they will understand and adapt to the experience and find it less intimidating or daunting in the future. Moodle’s will need to be groomed on a monthly to six weekly basis so we want this to be a pleasant experience for them rather then a frightening one 🐾

Loud noise exposure & why is it important ⁉️
At this early age, puppies do not yet fear sound, so we use this opportunity to get a jump start on desensitization of loud noises.
As puppies develop their senses, it is important to introduce them to a variety of sounds they might encounter in their forever homes.
We introduce all types of music, TV shows and movies. We play sounds that they will encounter in the outside world such as, fireworks, car noises, storms, clapping, laughing, children playing and much much more 🐾

Snuffle mats for dogs are the great way to provide physical and mental enrichment. They can help to slow down fast eaters, encourage them to use their sense of smell, reduce anxiety and burn energy. They are fantastic for dogs of all ages 🙂
