Kennel Hand (Casual)
10-20hrs/week, long-term position
Split shifts 7-11am and 3-5pm (longer as required)
Award wages + super paid fortnightly

Responsibilities:
⁃ Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning
⁃ Feeding & medicating dogs
⁃ Exercising dogs and monitoring/maintaining animal welfare
⁃ Bathing dogs
⁃ Washing bedding
⁃ Customer service, checking dogs in/out, taking payments, responding to phone calls & emails and booking system management

Requirements:
⁃ Physically fit and able to handle dogs of all shapes and sizes in a very busy team environment
⁃ Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
⁃ Available any day of the week including weekends and holidays
⁃ Experience or qualifications with animal management is highly regarded but not essential
⁃ Able to follow instructions and work independently and within a team

Driving through the Southern Forests takes you through many different types of landscapes, but you can't get far without spotting a friendly cow.

Dairy cows are easy to see with their distinctive black and white coats, recognisable as the Holstein Fresian breed. Down Northcliffe way, the flat expanses of green pasture are the perfect place for these leggy beauties as the paddocks are green year-round. The proximity to the coast makes the climate temperate, soothing out extreme chills overnight or excessive heat in summer.

Hi All!! 👋

I’ve noticed the past few weeks people becoming frustrated with my lack of immediate response and availability. So just wanted to let you all know I’m trying my best to get back to everyone and squeeze more dogs into an already very busy schedule.
I have a 4 month old baby, with medical issues, so a lot of my days off are spent driving to and from Perth Children’s Hospital. A lot of the time I can’t answer my phone immediately, as I’m normally driving the van, (it’s old, 2007, and doesn’t have a hands free function) or I’m washing the dogs, I like to devote all my attention to the dogs and customers when I’m washing them to ensure they receive the best service possible. Once I’m home I have to be a mother, a wife, and a bookkeeper of two businesses so please believe me when I say im trying my best to fit everyone in with the limited time I have available due to childcare.

🩵🐶 Introducing Patrick 🐶🩵

The newest two legged member of my pack!

Making my Ridgebacks big brothers on 24/1/24

As some of you know, Patrick has some medical issues with his kidneys that just haven’t corrected themselves, so we will be spending a lot of time a Perth Children’s Hospital in the next couple of weeks.
This unfortunately means that my original date of coming back to Washadog at the end of February will have to be put back a couple of weeks, but as soon as we are fighting fit again I’ll let you all know.

Hope your beautiful doggos aren’t getting too stinky. Remember if you’re using the good old fashioned garden hose to wash your dogs this summer, to run it for a few minutes before hand as this weather is super hot 🥵

Thanks to all my amazing customers for their messages and continued support, I can’t wait to see you and of course the dogs 🐶♥️

No I haven’t decided to start washing horses as well, this is in fact Gaia, the beautiful big puppy 😍. Even though she can’t even turn around in the tub, she is the most gentle dog ever!! Look how she takes treats so delicately. ♥️

Little Daisy is the most adorable Corgi puppy 😍 Only her second time in the blue tub and not phased at all- she puts on a brave face for her little hoomans I reckon.

DID YOU KNOW?

Don’t be fooled by the Corgis size and little legs, as this dog is actually a working dog. Used for herding livestock, originating from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and can be dated back to the 14th century. Also, they were loved by the late Queen Elizabeth II of course 👑🇬🇧. I think they’re great little dogs, small but mighty, with a big personality.

Who would of thought that little Monty here is over 14 years old and still runs around like this after his bath 😂
Unfortunately he lost his mate Barney a couple of weeks ago 💔 so heartbreaking when our dogs go over the rainbow bridge 🌈

Once I get Tex all nice and clean you can really see his spots 🤩 I’m not sure if he has Dalmatian in him but he sure has the spots.

Dalmatian dogs are originally from Croatia 🇭🇷 the southern of which is called Dalmatia.
