I'm Taz, the owner of GT. I am the one who would much rather hang out with your Dogs at parties than engage in small talk. Growing up on a game farm in South Africa, my love for animals was always a bit different. It's hard to explain the connection to nature you have when you are born in Africa, your soul is wild & free. Truthfully it feels impossible to try & explain that part of me to people wh

o aren't from where I am from. For me, connecting with all animals is a spiritual experience. It's about seeing the world through their eyes & feeling a part of the intricate web of life that surrounds us all. Our Dogs are on their own level of WOWNESS. They love unconditionally, without much fuss. We as humans don't deserve them. I have learnt so much about myself because of spending no less than 3 hours in nature every single day. Always with Tribe of Dogs right beside me. That level of knowledge is rare. You can read a library full of books about Dogs & their behaviours & how best to “train” them, when in reality what they need from us to connect with them & understand they are “human” too. Once you have that level of understanding about what Dogs ACTUALLY need from us, you have the power to help any anxious or socially awkward Dogs feel the happiest they ever could. Because of the connection you created for & your Dog. I make sure that every single Dog who comes into our care will feel that level of connection. The longer the Dog stays with us the deeper the connection grows. I have waited my whole life to have a home that was mine that I can make home for others. I didn't realise that most regular visitors are Dogs, not humans. I am here to educate others on what is acceptable Dog Care. Our Dogs deserve only the best of everything. They don't deserve to be thrown away when they have gotten bigger, or to be breed for money, or left home day after day. If you cant give your Dog a social life, exercise, a healthy diet, a regular companion than either don't get one. Or reach out to a Dog business & book your Dog in fir regular fun & stimulation. Let's ensure every day truly is “a Dog's life.”

We urge you all to please throughly check your Dogs when you are home from work to ensure your Dogs don’t have any grass seeds or ticks on them.

Spring is the WORST season for it.

We will of course also check your Dogs during our adventure & before we drop them… however we strongly recommend clients to do your own check up!

My advice is to BOOK AHEAD to avoid disappointment for you & especially your Dogs.

You are coming on holiday down south, doing all the things YOU want to do & your Dogs deserve the same experiences …

WE ARE OPEN THROUGHOUT DECEMBER..

- 10 % higher from 12th December
- 15% higher on public holidays

🐾 Preparing Your Dogs For Fireworks

All around the world fireworks are used to celebrate important days.

Yes they can be pretty & nothing will ever beat the incredible 4th of July fireworks I was lucky enough to watch in New York back in my travelling days, before I had my own Dogs.

I didn’t think of the negative impact then, but I do now.

In Margaret River Fireworks are used at the Margaret River Agricultural Show in October. It’s always a huge highlight after a fun day for the kids… but the impacts to the wildlife & our Dogs is catastrophic.

Dogs have been so scared they have escaped from their homes & have been hit by cars speeding. Sadly there is no hope for a Dog to survive that impact.

BUT

It’s not all bad news….

We can do better to ensure our Dogs (& other pets) stay safe by planning ahead.

* Planning ahead can help dogs cope with fireworks.

*Provide your Dog with a Doggy safe haven. This should be a quiet area, so choose one of the quietest rooms in your home - a place where they feel in control.
*Don’t interfere with your Dog when they’re in that area.

*Train your Dog to associate the area with positive experiences, e.g. by leaving their favourite toys there, but not imposing yourself at any time.

* Use a variety of chew toys, such as stuffed Kongs. Swap them regularly, putting them away when not in use so that your dog doesn’t become bored with them.

*With time, dogs can learn that this place is safe & enjoyable. When fireworks go off, they may choose to go there because they know, in that place, they are safe. It’s important that your Dog has access to this safe haven at all times.

So start planning NOW for when you know Firworks will be used in your area.

🐾 OUR WEBSITE IS NOW LIVE

A huge huge huge THANK YOU to the ever so patient & talented power house woman Jess from for creating a website that feels fresh, fun , easy to navigate & reflects me & my brand so perfectly!

Jess & I started chatting to each other in late January… it has been a wild ride. Im not going to lie there were lots of tears & frustration on my end while I tried to find the time this update needed.

Not only did we completely change the website, we also added a REBRAND in there too, because why the heck not.

Personally, 2024 has been an incredibly challenging year for me, marked by trials that tested my resolve. At one point, I even considered selling Gypsea Tails & walking away.

Since launching the business in November 2021, I’ve faced a relentless wave of hostility from a group of women determined to shame me, alienate me, and push me out of my own community.

But instead of succumbing to their negativity, I chose to fight back—and I emerged victorious, even if those victories felt small at times.

This journey has been an eye-opener. I’ve learned that there will always be those who resent you for your growth, who scorn your passion for creating something meaningful—something that provides exceptional care for Dogs. They may dislike you simply for being confident or for embracing your true self.
But that’s their burden, not mine.

To the women who have perpetuated this mean-spirited energy, I say: “Grow up!” mean girl energy in adulthood is just gross.

Now, after nearly three years of facing public humiliation & targeted attacks by these woman, I hope for a shift. I have longed for the space & energy to focus on what truly matters: nurturing a business that has made a profound impact on so many Dogs’ lives.

It’s time to move forward and continue this journey of growth & transformation.

Very excited with what lies ahead for Gypsea Tails & the changes we are making to peoples perception of Dog Care & also teaching humans the key to building the most effective way to create a bond with their Dog is about connection & building trust.

I kicked off this journey on the 9th November 2021, designing my very first logo on my laptop the night I made the leap into the Dog world. In no time, I created a brand that people recognised!

Those who know me well are aware of my love for earthy colors—especially brown—so it was only natural to incorporate that into my brand identity.

But growth is key, right? Just like I’ve evolved personally & professionally, I want my business to reflect that transformation.

And here we are, ready to shine!

You’ll see our fresh new look lighting up our socials and, most importantly, our website.

This little bubble of pure joy & fluff joined the tribe last week & we couldn’t be anymore in love with him!
