💗 WILLOW 💗 our beautiful deaf girl is still on the lookout for her forever home.

Then Willow is the kitty for you.
One example of a great conversation starter is the story of Willow and her toaster.
She LOVES it, and it’s not because it’s cold and she likes the warmth of it after it’s been used (it’s an old one that was headed for hard rubbish) She sleeps next to it, on top of it, talks to it and if she can’t see it she will cry for it. *Obviously it’s not connected and it’s not in use*
We first thought it was because she can see her reflection in it. But we honestly don’t think that’s what her obsession with it is!
She loves to play with her foster siblings and is a chill girl with a permanent head tilt due to illness when she was very young, but man does she make us laugh!
One day we couldn’t find her for a good 5 hours. We searched EVERYWHERE for her and even though she’s deaf - we called for her. We tapped walls and stomped our feet all to try and get her attention and get her to come to us. NOTHING.
Panic set in and we accepted that maybe she just wandered off.
Another 2 hours of looking when she waltzed out of the laundry and over to the food bowl. Like are you good? Because we were all just crying and stressing about her being lost.
She’d been curled up inside the washing basket full of towels fresh and warm from the dryer. She’d had a great nap!
Or that one time when she followed her carer into the spare room when she’s quickly gone in to get something, didn’t see Willow had followed and shut the door behind her. Wasn’t until she heard a big crash an hour later and walked in to find that she had knocked over the mirror playing peek-a-boo with her reflection.
Now she wears a collar with a bell 24/7 and an air tracker. Is she only indoors? Yes. And we hear you ask but does she really need an air tracker? Yes. 1000% she does.
Having said all of that - the love and affection this girl has for you is next level. She knows she’s special and she loves you without condition. She will sleep on the bed with you, on the couch and sit on your towel to keep it warm and watch over you as you have a shower.
Oh and the photo of her in the shopping bag?
She doesn’t get back out until you carry her around in it for a few minutes. Those beautiful big brown eyes always win.
