This is Duncan. He gets severe separation anxiety. We'd all "love to have a beer with Duncan", if he didn't cry whenever we left. 😭

So we had a great 2-hour session learning how to overcome loneliness & other things, like how to improve his listening (& visual) communication skills, how to use his nose, how to be cool when seeing people & dogs, how to respect his new home & furniture spaces, and how to commence recall training. All for the price of just a few beers.

I think it was Sia (& maybe Maggie & Stanley) who sang:
"I'm UNSTOPPABLE
I'm a Porsche with no brakes"

But these poochy Porsches are improving with each tune-up, as they learn they do have brakes (quite handy) as well as brains AND looks! 😍
Can't wait to hear their new single: "STOPPABLE" 😆🎵😆

For so long, Stanley thought a leash "CLICK" on (especially by his ear) was like a starter's pistol - or that quiet bit in a song just before the beat drops. 💣🕺🏼
This sudden rush pattern then gave Maggie stagefright / performance anxiety.
With so much static in their signals, no wonder the walks were distorted.

Dogs are simple beings, but sensitive to details. And human life is so detailed! It's only our job to *recognise*, *reinterpret* & *remix* their reactions as needed.

Instead of barking and jumping around like a wild teenage groupie, this is Jett's new default system setting when the doorbell rings, when visitors arrive, or when someone dares to walk past his big human kennel palace 🏠

It only took him a few minutes (!!) to learn he's just one member of the house band... no need to be the whole band 🤯... and now his doggy mum loves getting visitors again 🥰

This was Stanley & Maggie & their owner in their second training session, just movin' in tune with each other 🎶 after previously being all hyped and disconnected like some improv jazz band.⚡

These older pups are a sweet & satisfying work in progress and have recently commenced doggy socialisation and loose leash walks with The Dog Tuner, to really accelerate their learning - but not their volume and tempo. 😇

Here's a local duo from called Maggie & Stanley. Their made-up band name would have to be 'The Labradorables' 🎶🤗🐾

Despite being 3 & 6 y.o., congrats to Maggie & Stanley for their first ever private session!! Woof woof 👍🏻🤙🏻🖤💛

Their first big tune-up was chock-full of new info & techniques, and a very chill walk. 🤫🎧🎶 Maggie even performed the whole gig without her usual Halti! 🔓✅

Who said you can't teach an older dog new tunes?
More rehearsals next week.

That's the perfect premise for dog training! 😜🐶 🎶
